Late Summer Vignettes in my Kitchen - Using Vintage a Tin, Box and a Box Grater
Hi Friends,
I've been putting together a few late summer vignettes in my kitchen.
I have added sunflower to a vintage America Cheese box I have placed on a shelf above my kitchen cabinet, that I found at a auction years ago.
I also added some sunflowers to this beautiful blue tin I received form a friend a few years ago among a few of my vintage hens and roosters collection.
I hope I have given you some ideas and tips on how to display some of your vintage collectibles.
So until next time,
God Bless you and your family.

GrandMa Mode
With the grand kids here it is very hard to have time for being creative but I thought I let you know what I have been doing.
Last year my garden boxes were taken over by bind weed
so I decided to dig the dirt out of the boxes and line the boxes with old carpet, I'd had been storing for a project like this. Next I put new dirt mixed with two bales of peat-moss
So we will see how the garden does this year.
Have a Wonderful Day

Rustic Farmhouse Shamrock DIY for March
Hi Friends,
Today, I'll be doing a little project with felt to make some bowl fillers or ornies to add to my March décor this season.
I always have felt around, when ever I'm out thrifting I always pick up felt. So many things to use felt for.
I found this pattern from a craft book I have and cut out the shamrocks
Using cotton balls, I use for stuffing the shamrocks

A Few Easy Winter Vignette Ideas - Using some items from my Vintage/Country Collections
Hi Friends,
Today, I'm sharing a few easy décor ideas I am using for vignettes this winter season in my home.
This brass spittoon I picked up at a auction many years ago sit by my front room window all the time to hide string light connections so I always try to keep some kind of floral displayed in it. I just added a few dry stems from clematis vine in my garden, a bunch of red leaf eucalyptus stems some dried broadleaf plant and of course white pip berry.
I'm sure you have seen this Sir Walter Raleigh tin I have had in my collection for ever, it seems. I use it in a vignette almost every seasons.
To a vintage wine crate on a corner shelf, I added pine cone, a few cinnamon sticks and a couple of branches of red eucalyptus wrapped with red and white pip berries.
I'm so glad you stopped by to check out a few ways you may use some of your vintage boxes or tins to put togethers an easy display for winter
So until next time friends, May God bless you and your family.

It's Starting to Look a Little Christmassy in the Kitchen
Hi Friends,
Today I'm excited to share how I'm decorating my kitchen for Christmas. My though process is Christmassy, sparkly, silver sparkle, red poinsettias.
In my Christmas tubs I found the very thin vintage tinsels.
I just added red poinsettias to the tinsels and look how great it turned out with some of my vintage containers.

Vintage Christmas Tinsel all Around
I really enjoy decorating for Christmas, I kind of went over board with the tinsel and glitter this year. I had a bunch of vintage tinsel I found in one of my Christmas tubs, so I strung it all around the house. I think because our winters are cold, long and dreary, did I say cold?
Thank you for stopping by, and checking out what I am up to.
God bless you and your family.

Vintage November Décor
Hi Friends,
I really enjoy decorating for Thanksgiving, I kind of go over board with fall color, I think because our winters here in the NW are cold, dreary and did I say cold?
This ceramic cornucopia I thrifted many years ago. I have added old Indian corn that I also found thrifting, then I have purchased pumpkins and fall leaves and have collected the pine cones to fill in the ceramic cornucopia.
Fall flower and pip berries arranged in a wooden whiskey box.
Another cornucopia with fall flowers I am not usually into sparkle or shiny but this year I used a few of the bronze flowers in this arrangement.
Here is a California prune box I thrifted a few years back it sits on top of a kitchen cabinet year round. I just change it out seasonally.
