Yuk!! Summer Colds

I was hoping to get out in my yard this weekend to do a little gardening, however it down poured most of the weekend, I know we need all the rain for our gardens but.... Anyway with all the relaxation I had staying in the house, you would think I would feel like rock'in and roll'in today.

When I woke up this morning I was feeling alright but by noon my eyes were itchy and my nose wouldn't stop running. Welcome "Summer Colds"

Hope you all had a Great Weekend.

Who said BBQ's and Rain mix?

Memorial Day

.......A day to take a moment out of our busy weekend to remember our Veterans...........

Why is it that when your planning a Great family get together, Mother Nature decides to let it rain big time!!!!??I was hoping to take a picture or two of us all together, but about the time I 'd get the camera out, it started raining again.

We did have a little break in the cloud and walked six blocks to main street where our Chamber of Commerce was putting on a Car Show and street festival.

I still did some grilling, we made the basic picnic menu....steak,baked beans, potato salad, cream cheese stuffed celery and chocolate chip cookies for desert.

Happy Monday

vintage Vignettes - Look what I got Accomplished!

Thanks Goodness for Weekends!!

I was able to do a little unpacking and staging around my cottage . This picture of the entrance to my living room

I was able to put up another shelf in my living to show off some of my vintage canning jars.

This is another of my living room walls. With one of my bottle collections and a needle point pattern my Sister In Law made for me.

Thank you for stopping by. Hope to get more of my things unpacked and get some picture posted.
Until next time.

A Great Day for a Picnic!

Today the weather was beautiful so I decided it would be fun to have a picnic out on the patio
I've been watching my 18 month old grandson and this way after lunch I could watch him play in the sand box, it was a great afternoon!

Rustic Farmhouse Pot Rack

A couple of years ago I pick up this awesome pot rack today was an awful raining day it would have been real easy to stay in bed and read a book after a few cups of coffee see what I did!!!!  I finally find a place for it. My ceiling isn't tall enough to really use it for my pans, but I think it looks great any way!

Thanks for stopping by,
