A Few More Vintage Winter Vignettes in my Den

In my den I think I decorate it more because of the shelving I have.  This is vintage blue lunch box I have added a couple of poinsettias along with a vintage glass door knob.

A Sir Walter Raleigh smoking tobacco tin, I stuck a cluster of poinsettias in it.

This little vignette I went with red berries and pine cone to this King Edward cigar box also, in this grouping  are a couple of my green bottles I just added homespun and a holly sprig

I leave out these baskets  of pine corns all year long I think it give a nice feel to the fire place

This little vignette I had a hard time deciding how to rearrange it.  I think I like the second arrangement the best.

I like the milk glass vases, I think the milk glass lightens up this vignette.

Thank you for stopping by to see what I have been up to at my home.

Frosty January Day at My Little Colorado Cottage

Planning for a Great! 2018

I woke up to a very frosty day, a great day to enjoyed the blue skies and look towards a great year.

As most year I just want to celebrate all the little things that go on in my home and be grateful for the special times.

I so much would like to incorporate more of my thrifted treasure into my home.  I have started making a list of some of the projects I would like to accomplish for February.  I do have a few thrifted items that need some loving care.  So I'm glad I have taken the time to think through a the process, I hope you will check back from time to time to see some of these projects come to life.

Thank you for stopping by to see what I have been up to

God Bless You and your family.

January Thrift Finds

Awesome Finds for the Month of January!

A checkered dish towel that I'm going to use
on my end table in my den.  Then there are two short fir garland with pine cones and red berries that I use to top two of my windows.

After Christmas sell at The Dollar Tree, I picked up these picks for $.50 a pick.

I added two bunches of red berries to each of the fir sprays and attached one of the fir sprays to the top of window at my front door.

and the other to an old window frame on a shelf above my Television.

Winter Rustic/Farmhouse Vignettes, Throughout my House

Winter Vignettes

I left this simple  wreath on the front door.

I added snowmen and ice and silver accents on the mantel.

I left the red poinsettias

Changed out the chalkboard on the bookcase.

I added a refreshed eucalyptus wreath, I have been using year after year on my bathroom door.  Here a link to the tutorial.

This is the vintage tool tray on the coffee table in the den, I just added pine cones took out the snowballs added some eucalyptus branches to add some green.

I added a red and burlap banner from some fabric I had in my stash.  This old window is above the TV in the den.  I made one for each of my old windows.

I left the garland on the living room hutch and winter trees.  I added a banner to the old window.

The third banner is on this old window at my front door.  Sitting above a black shelf that my mother painted flowers on for me.

This is my plant table in my den, here I just added red glittery birds, pine cones, fir picks a vase with red berry cluster and a tall red candle in a vintage Star Tobaccos box I thrifted many years ago. Next to the tobacco box I have place a stack of books with a vintage chalk board   that I wrote "Let it Snow" . I also added a sprig of green with another red bird and a little potted tree one of my daughter made at school many years ago.

This winter décor will stay up till at least February, we'll see.

Thanks for stopping by, Have a Great Day!
