Hello July

Hi Friends,

Time to add a little red, white and blue.....
to get the patriotic décor vibe on.

Please stay and decorate with me!

Dug out the Red, White and Blue tubs

Last year I purchased quite a bit of sparkly garland

star picks, shiny beads and a few flags

more florals.

Flowers from "The Dollar Tree" are my go to for filling in the gaps in my vignettes.

This year I'm really lik'in the faux mercury glass pieces "The Dollar Tree", is putting out this year

metal stars are a must for my out door patriotic decor

Well it looks like I have my weekend planned. Until next time.

May God Bless You and Your Family,

June Thrift Haul

Look at What I Found at the Thrift Store!

This is an interesting piece, I paid $1.25 and I think it is from a lighten rod or maybe from a rot iron fence, not sure.

This wonder basket I paid $4 and I think I'll use it as a tray on my deck.

A cute metal decor tray with the lace ascent was a item I got for free from a friend.

A swatch of blue with white star fabric for $.25

A dark blue and white checked napkin for $.75.

Two sizes of bamboo paper plate holders for a $1.00 each

A blue pillow case for $ .10

Lastly, a cute little cutting board from Melissa and Doug Slice and Snack play collections.

Had a great day thrifting!
Have a great week,
Vicki, the Colo Junkett.

June garden update

The temperature has been in the 90's!

The flower beds are thriving here and there.  The first Orange Poppy in bloom!

The Iris are looking good!

Lambs Ear are enjoying the sun.

This flower bed is looking good.  Lamb Ear, White Iris, Red Dianthus, and Purple Salvia Nemorosa in the back the Lilacs are done in this bed.

This Salvia Nemorosa is laying on the ground.

The LILACS are fading.

90* is so hot for new seedlings in my neck of the country.

I've planted lettuce, kale, broccoli, spinach, onions, carrots and as you can see a zucchini plant in the front left hand side of my garden box seems to be doing well.  I ordered a cover for cooler weather, but I decided to use it as a cover to shade the seedlings.

Hope you all are having better luck with your gardens.
Have a wonderful Day!
