Friday Thrifting

 Hi Friends,

Happy Thrifting Friday!

Weather is getting colder and here in NW Colorado we got snow and low temperatures this week, checking out the local yard sale board was empty.

That being said, I went to the local community thrift store looking for vintage Halloween.

And I found a few cool things I want to share with you today.

The two planter I paid ($0.00) I'll be using the to transplant spearmint over winter.

*****
A gallon bag of children wooden blocks and a bog of wooden clothes pins

*****

I also found sewing notions, I probably spent a good thirty minutes digging through each little tub in the craft/sewing area.

I paid a total of $2.00 for the notions you just can't bet that price
Some of the notion have great vintage graphics

I displayed the thread balls on top of a dresser in my sewing nook

*****

I bought the small clip on earring ($1.00) for my granddaughter for dress up play, I was drawn to the colorful bracelet ($3.00), no sure if I'll keep it that way or use the beads for something else.. beautiful beads. Same as the gold bead tassel ($0.00), it just caught my eye.

This here is on the vanity in guest room, using a vintage dish to display the new jewelry

*****
I just had to look through the hankie basket to see if there were new ones and I wasn't disappointed, the hankie were $2.00 a piece.

I found two with a little bit of green that I'll use in my march décor, the dainty white with orange trim I be using in my November décor.

There were 4 or 6 of the cream color napkin, I just purchased one to use as a doily, but, I'm thinking maybe I should go back and have a set of cloth napkins?

*****

I saw this red thermos the last time I was at this thrift store but thought I had enough in my collection. Ha!

This thermos was still there, so I couldn't leave it Christmas is coming soon.

I place the $3.00 red thermos on the shelf.

*****
I found another aluminum funnel ($0.00), but it's slightly different than the two I currently own, I placed the aluminum funnel on top the kitchen cabinet

*****

I have a couple of larger canister jars I use to store my vintage cookie cutter collection.  When I spied this smaller canister with a lid! Yip-pie! and no chips detected YAY!

My collection of children alphabet blocks is growing, I believe two summers ago I found two large zip lock with alphabet blocks that I use in my seasonal décor.
I've added the amazing $3.50 glass jar and filled it with the bag of children blocks for ($1.75), I found thrifting today.

I did find some interesting Halloween treasures and I want to show you how I'm using it in my Halloween display on Monday as I decorate for Halloween.

Thank you for stopping by "My Little Colorado Cottage", I had a great day thrifting I found a lot of great treasure today, my favorite purchase would have to be the alphabet blocks and the glass canister.

I hope I inspired you to check out your local thrift store. You just never know what you might find to give you joy.
So... until the next post,
May God Bless You and Your Family.
