Looking for Vintage Treasures - Friday Thrift Haul

 Hi Friends,

Looking for thrifted treasures

Today I'm sharing a few treasures I found out thrifting.

  OH MY!

You know I can't seem to pass up on grabs bags

This is what was in the grab bag vintage 60's? plastic floral I can not believe what all I have picked up this year!

It's great for my outdoor décor.

I'm using the felt poinsettia's on the vanity in the guest room

The other flowers will be put in the tub with the rest of the outdoor Christmas décor for next Christmas

*****

I saw the plaid apron and thought I could use the fabric for something

*****
Look at this super super cute hand made felt stocking not sure how vintage it is but it looks vintage so cute

*****

The basket was considered Christmas so I brought it home, I think I'll use it in my Spring décor

I did cleaned up the basket so it will be ready to use

*****

I liked this plate for $.50, a old time church I think it will be great in my Christmas décor, or maybe Easter décor......
 the possibilities are endless.

I place the plate on the shelf with the Last Supper plaque

*****
As you know... cookie cutters are my weakness,

as I entered my local community thrift store there on the right inside of the door was a table of Vintage Cookie Cutter - $.25 each! a few I hadn't seen before

I couldn't pass by these cookie cutters two cute Angels, Baby Jesus in a manger, a Shepard and Lamb, Cupid, a little Teddy Bear, and a few aluminum cutters

*****

I brought home this cool plate, because of the log cabin on it I thought it would look great in my 'Winter Décor' next month.
I went ahead and moved a few of my chickens elsewhere to make room for the cool cabin plate

*****

I had been eyeing the round gold ornament for a while, they have 'winter cabin scene' inlaid, very nice.

*****

Santa candle isn't vintage I don't think but he looks great setting here on the Milk Glass shelf.

The handmade clay snowman will be in my Winter Décor so stay tune.......
*****

Grab bag of cookie cutters a few I already have in my stash of cookie cutters, the 5 lighter red Or pink cutters I haven't seen before. Look at the two tin cutter a little mule and owl, so cute

and who doesn't need Christmas socks?
*****

I put this cute wreath in my cart because I was thinking Grapevine wreaths are great to have in my stash.

The more I look at the Angel crafted on the wreath I may leave it as is.

I have the wreath hanging on the guest room door

*****

My local Thrift Store was pretty sparse for home décor, but I think I found some cool Vintage Christmas treasure to add to my décor next Christmas.

Did you have a favorite?  I think mine was the felt stocking and the gold ornaments.

Thank you so much for stopping by.... so until the next post.
May God Bless You and Your Family in the New Year!

Hand-Crafted Christmas Village on the Mantel

 Hi Friends,

Thank you for stopping by 'My little Colorado Cottage', today, I'm working on the Mantel

This Christmas season I'm setting up my Christmas Village on the Mantel.

The first of December I shared Past Christmas Village Vignettes and a few glitter house patterns I found on Pinterest.

Today, I'm showing off a couple of glitter houses that I made this season.

*****

For a little whimsy I made some stars from silver pipe cleaners

*****
I had the craft star it was originally green I just painted it white and added silver glitter

*****

This Glitter House was my first pattern I tried, fairly easy I did add the chimney and a awning over the door

*****
The second house turned out larger than I was expecting and decided to turn it into the local grainery or granary

*****
As I have mentioned the ceramic shops I purchased from Wal Mart as a craft.

I also brought out my small collection of 1940's 'Transporation Glass Candy Containers' to the Christmas Village.

My first try at a cardboard Glitter House

I love how my mantel turned out. I've really enjoyed the hand-painted shops and now I loved the hand-made glitter houses I hand-crafted this season.
I want to thank you for stopping by 'My Little Colorado Cottage' I hope I can encourage you all to just step outside the box when crafting and have fun.

Until my next post....
May God Bless You and Your Family,
