Frosted Pine Cones DYI / Winter Decor

Winter Decor DYI.

I'm getting ready to put my winter decor together and the first place I go is to Pinterest to get some ideas, I saw a lot of Snowy, Frosty, icy, touches.

I had some left over Frosty Snow from some other project.

I have lots of pine cones.

I got out the white paint and painted the edges of the pine cone and rolled the pine cone in the Frosty Snow flakes,

I think these snowy pine cone turned out nicely.

Happy New Year!

Not a traditional New Year Menu

We decided this year to set up an appetizer buffet and kind of snack through out the day and just watch movies and play games.

Relish tray of midget sweet pickle, black and green olives and sliced tomatoes, and cream cheese stuffed celery.

pigs in blanket ( little weenies wrapped in a crescent roll)

Everyone enjoyed the beef links in a blanket  we baked 48 weenie bundles and there was not a single one left.

Thanks for stopping by, hope all of you had a wonderful New Year Day!

Santa Collection on the Mantel for Christmas 2018

The Christmas Mantel

This year I decided to display my Santa collection on the mantel in the den. My Santa collection totals 23 in all at this time. Some are old and some are new, I've been collecting for many years, always searching yard sales and thrift store, and sometimes antique shops.  I just never know when I'll come across a Santa that I must add to the collections.
I also, added my collection of Santa mugs

I hope you enjoyed seeing my Santa collection.

Thank you for checking in and God Bless, Vicki

Colder Temperature ?

This summer has been in the nineties since the 1st of June which is warm for NW Colorado.  As I have mentioned my garden has not been very productive.  The cool weather plants like lettuce, spinach, peas just sprout and either they were eaten or the heat burnt the seedlings.

One of the tomato plants have tiny green tomatoes

Zucchini is growing well

In the box garden I planted purple pepper and banana pepper, you can see a banana pepper growing on the plant in the middle.

I planted these pots the first of June and see now in August the watermelon plant has started putting out vines.  I think it is to late to expects a watermelon from these plants but I'll continue watering and shading them to see what transpires.

Peas

Green beans

Thank you for stopping by! Hope you enjoyed my update of the garden. I'm looking forward to putting some of these vegetables on my supper menu.

Have a great week.

Hello August and Baking Day!

Baking Day!

Today I have decided to use up the last of the shredded zucchini and pumpkin I froze last autumn.

I have some help to day.  This batch is pumpkins muffin from the Jack-o-lantern pumpkins I froze last fall.

These muffins are made from the zucchini we grew in the garden last summer.

Here we're making some bite size zucchini  muffins for on the go.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed seeing what we were baking today.

Have a wonderful week.

Hello July

Hi Friends,

Time to add a little red, white and blue.....
