Vintage Thrifting - Last weekend in August to Yard Sale

 Hi Friends,

I'm at it again, Yard Sale Time today I found Rooster & Hens to add to the collection.

1950's Westmoreland candy, trinket covered dish for $3.00.  The red comb is worn and there is a chip on the nest portion, I I love it.

For now I have this super cute milk glass nesting hen trinket/candy dish

At the same yard sale I found these for a $1.00 a piece.

I tried to research this cutie but of no avail ,
I purchase this hen for $3.00

I place this adorable hen in a vintage lunch tin That I store my heart rocks I collected

My first thrifted metal flower frogs! When I was ready to pay for the flower frogs the gentlemen asked me what they were use for, lol.

I just used a few adhesive stencil from Wal-Mart I think, and stuck them on yellow index cards, display the stencils with the flower frog.

Same yard sale there was a price of $10.00 on it I was going to see if I could get a better prices, however I thought he gave me a great price on the chicken and the flower frogs.

1950's white scale with red trim, when I saw the cutie I was doing a happy dance.
At my thrift stores any type of scales the price is starting at $25.00 and up.
I've got the scale sitting up on the kitchen cabinets

At a different yard sale I found this curio cabinet for $.50  I was thinking using it for either my blue glass collection or the perfume bottles in the guest room

I have displaying the perfume bottles in the guest room for now, sitting on top of a high-boy dresser.

Also, I spied this unique artisan pottery hot drink mug.  I liked the color and will use it as a vase

While I was out I stopped by the vintage thrift store to see if I could find a base for my NEWLY thrifted hutch top. I found some possibilities but need to think it over I'm not looking for a buffet but just a small cabinet to sit the china cabinet on.

I walked through the store and found a few things that were a $1.00 each.

I tried to find some facts on the white cup, but I'm using it as a shaving mug on the shelf in the bathroom

the cute little basket is hanging from a shelf in my living room.

The vintage silver foil hot pad I purchased is going up on the kitchen cabinet shelf in a vignette with some of my vintage 1950's hand painted in Japan rooster treasures.

I want to thank you for checking today, to see what I thrifted. I hope I gave you some inspiration on how to style the treasure you find while out thrifting.

I'm trying to post a couple times a week with thrift hauls, vignettes, and my seasonal decorating in my home inside and outside.

Until the next.............

May God Bless You and Your Family,
