Who said BBQ's and Rain mix?

Memorial Day

.......A day to take a moment out of our busy weekend to remember our Veterans...........

Why is it that when your planning a Great family get together, Mother Nature decides to let it rain big time!!!!??I was hoping to take a picture or two of us all together, but about the time I 'd get the camera out, it started raining again.

We did have a little break in the cloud and walked six blocks to main street where our Chamber of Commerce was putting on a Car Show and street festival.

I still did some grilling, we made the basic picnic menu....steak,baked beans, potato salad, cream cheese stuffed celery and chocolate chip cookies for desert.

Happy Monday

A Great Day for a Picnic!

Today the weather was beautiful so I decided it would be fun to have a picnic out on the patio
I've been watching my 18 month old grandson and this way after lunch I could watch him play in the sand box, it was a great afternoon!
