Vintage Sewing Notions - Vintage Thrifting Weekend

Hi Friends,
 I'm so glad your here!

Today, I'm so excited to share a little tip for you creative crafters. The thrift store is the best place to find affordable sewing notions,
I gave a $1.00 for this 'Bag of Sewing Notions', because there were a few vintage items I could add to my Vintage Sewing Notions collection.
***
- cute little pink cloth strawberry pin cushion
- a tape measure and button card with vintage advertisement, look at the graphic on the card, awesome!
 - a couple of thimbles
***
Look at all the useful sewing notions that I will be able to use
sewing bobbins, extra spools of thread,
fusing tape, Singer sewing machine needles, and a functional wrist-pin cushion, all for a $1.00
 ***
Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to stop by 'My Little Colorado Cottage'.

I would love to hear do you buy your sewing notions at thrift stores or yard sales.

 So until my next post......

Sun Flower DIY Project

Hi Friends,

This week I have been working on a little project using wooden sun shapes fun picture frames from the Dollar Store.

I painted the wooden suns yellow and then added some black and white checked gingham fabric.

My vision was to use buttons for the center of the flower (sun) frame. It seems I always have a good stock of old buttons.

So I took a look through my button stash, and found a set of five for each flower (sun) frame.

I heated up the dandy glue gun to attach the buttons to the center to make the frame look more like a sunflower.  I think all four flowers turned of very cute.

Have you made a diy for fall? Until the next time.....

May God Bless You and Your Family,
