Vintage Thrifting-Linens and a Mother Load of Table Games

 Hi Friends,

This weekend I found some great treasures.  So many treasure I brought home, that I'm splitting my thrift haul up into two posts.

Today I'm sharing this vintage thrift haul over at Vintage Charm Party #351

This first sale I got this box for $12.00. I found a lot of linens that were so unique.

Vintage hankie

I love the three hand embroidered place mats with birds and 7 miscellaneous cloth napkins

Look at this darling embroider tea towel with a pair of kittens, So Cute!

I'm not sure what the embroider cup is used for, but I purchased it because of the delicate stitching.

The lovely green end table scarfs will look great in my seasonal March décor.

A couple more doilies to use in my country/cottage décor

I just love the detail and the time it took someone to do this craft, it should be cherished.

I'm not sure if I'll frame this beautiful piece, I think I might finish it and then frame it.

This particular dish towel catch my eye. I remember my Grandmother had a set of the multiple stripe dish towel

I hung this dish towel on a grater that on the side of a cabinet.

These pretty blue trimmed table scarfs are so cheery pretty I place them on the night stands in a guess room.

Also in that box I stuffed a few trinkets a little blown glass fawn/deer

Two sets of bowlers I think their used for a cake topper.

Glass strawberry, I thought it might be a pendent but there not a way to attach to a chain

Amethyst is my birthstone so I put it in the box 

super excited about the milk glass jar caps I'll be using with my collection of canning jars.

A couple set of S&P the little lady with the guitar is a salt shaker 

and the cute pair of fish S&P are housed in the cabinet.

Check this out this pair of fish S&P has a Japan sticker

also a vintage 1847 Brigham Young souvenir copper S&P

cute little perfume bottles, the middle bottle has a lady painted on the front and flowers on the back.  Have them setting in a small tray on top of a dresser.

This 3 in 1 wooden handle grater with three extra shredder size plates was a interesting find and a wire spoon

This sweet resin kitchen plaque 

This was given as a wedding gift, I believe the message on the back "Given to Pat and Denmark by Uncle Vere"

I'm going to try and give it a little facelift.  Check back to seen if my facelift worked out.

Love crochet hot pads, I have a small collection in the kitchen

The wooden handle masher, wire spoon and the scoop went up on the kitchen cabinet shelf

the adorable toothpick container marked occupied Japan will go in the salt &pepper cabinet for now.

I'm thinking this metal telephone is copper plated and was used as a paper weight

9-Pyrex custard cups, I can always use for snacks jello or pudding

When I picked up this box the lady told me that the pick-up sticks were hers as a child and she said she is 85 years old, WOW!

 Lastly, a couple of vintage travel guides, of my neck of the woods here in Colorado.

I'll be using these books in my August vignettes, I'm thinking my décor will be camping, fishing, theme.

Vintage Thrift Haul - To My surprise the Vintage Thrift Store was Open on Sunday!

 Hi Friends,

I stopped by my local vintage thrift store Sunday to see what was new. and of course I did find a few great treasures

This very cute bird house for out side has a little roof damage that I believe I can fix

I have a few rusty old license plates that worked perfectly nice roof for this bird house

Going into this store one of the items I was looking for are vintage glass insulators. The last time I had shop at this store, I believe I had seen insulators there before, unfortunate they only had clear insulators and wanted $6.00 each! I was a little disappointed, usually the prices are a bit lower. I did find this little clear insulator for $2.00

I made a list of projects I would like to do this summer in my yard  and the insulator is on the list.  I need to collect a few more insulators.

In the back of the store they have lots of picture, I was rummaging through the picture frames, when I saw these great oval frames for a $1.50 a piece and they have glass, wow! 

So exciting, Aren't they beautiful?

As you can see I place one of the frames on a shelf with my brush copper treasures.

The other frame went up on the hutch

In this little vignette, I used the vintage doily under the cute little hen sitting on a horse shoe nest.

And the other treasure I found was this tooth pick caddy so stinkin' cute, for a $1.00

I think this spot in the vintage Pepsi crate is prefect.

Vintage Thrifting - I Stopped by the Local Budget Center Thrift Store

 Hi Friends,

I couldn't resist dropping by my local "Community Budget Center" to see if anything was new and to check on a vintage record player in a cabinet, I'm guessing 1930's.  The store still wanted $150.00 and the cabinet needs some work and not sure the record player works.

I did come home with so awesome treasures! So exciting! Let me show you where I have incorporated these treasures into my home.

Two milk glass vases, I paid $.75 for the tall vase and the small vase $1.50.

I rearranged my collection of milk glass on a shelf on the hutch.

We use small custard cups for many things - jello, pudding, snacks, etc. so I picked up the two Pyrex custard cups for $.75 each.  I also found a small 10oz Pyrex dish without lid for $1.00  These Pyrex treasures are going in a kitchen cabinet to be used daily.

Also in the haul I brought home, a very cute ceramic garlic keeper for $.25, I have it on the hutch with my vintage emerald glass display.

I found a brown ceramic Nebraska souvenir creamer for  $1.50. I put into this vignette above the kitchen cabinets

Found some yard toys $1.00 each, for the grandkids when they come to visit. No sharp points. I'm always on the look out for kids items, through out the year. You just never know what you can find for the grandkids at a reasonable price.

The three pamper chef tart pans $1.25 each, will be a project for the outside.  

The shallow cake pan I got for free because it was rusty the store had an exact pan that was clean the price was $5.00 lol, What a deal! I also place the shallow cake pan on the shelf above the cabinets in the kitchen.

I have a little diy idea for the Pamper Chef tart pans, Please check back later next week to see what I did.

Taking my time through the store today I took the time to dig, and while I was digging in the fabric and sewing notions I found a hand full of notions I'll be putting into my sewing stash.

bias tape for $.30, hook and eye for $.30, black rick -rack for$.25, red applique stars for $.30, a bag of two spools of 1/4 inch ribbon for $1.25, and a bag of alphabet beads for $.50. 

Digging in the craft shelf I found upholstery tack for $1.00 a container which will also go into the sewing stash and a small wooden easel for $.50.

 Opposite the miscellaneous craft shelf, is a shelf of office supplies.  I spied a package of paper fasteners for free. I was so excited to find another legal size clip board!  for just $0.50, I'll be incorporating into my Patriotic décor.

I found this very cool metal basket for $1.00 to put out in the back yard

Awesome, rustic tree branch candle holder for $3.00, I have a couple other tree branch candle holders, I bought at our local summer market a couple of years ago.

I'll be using all three candle holder in my vintage winter décor.

Because I live in Colorado and Coors is made in Colorado I picked up this shot and a half.

 You all know I'm a sucker for vintage cookie cutters and this star shape cutter had raffia and a cute button on it , who could refuse? 

Digging through the toy area I found the sweet little silk dress that I believe will fit a vintage bisque doll I got from my great aunt, super excited about this find

On my list of things I look for is silver-plate.  I saw this platter-tray, I thinking I could the tray to group my vintage bottles. 

The Presidents of the United States will defiantly fit into my patriotic décor. I know 4th of July is past but, I may just add to one of my vignettes.

The pair of vintage saucers for $1.00 each, I loved the pattern, not sure where I'll find a place for them.

And the best find today was this amazing picnic basket It wasn't lined but, for $9.00 I am not going to complain. Isn't it beautiful it's real similar to my large picnic basket in weave.

 Today was a fun thrifting haul.  I hope some of the treasure I find inspire you to get out and thrift for wonderful treasure to show off in your home.
