Went Thrifting in July Found Vintage Fabric Napkins

Thrifting is one of my favorite things to do.
This is the last week of July and I want to show you, my great finds this month.

This Mount Rushmore tray was a interesting find.  I'm hoping to incorporate it into my patriotic decor.

Here are four cloth napkins with an interesting design that I'll be putting a side for next spring

Red checked napkins for summer

I could not past this item up.  Who knew? A red pillow case with Embroidered pink hearts.  I will be putting this into my Valentines decor tub for next year.

I may restyle this pillow case as a table runner I'll see.

I saw this box last time I went thrifting and didn't pick it up so.... this time I thought I needed it even though I do not need sewing machine attachments  This is a vintage Deluxe Zigzag Attachments Sewing Machine 18 Cam Patterns in a Pink Box.

I'll be using the box for other sewing items

A cute chicken pitcher that I may paint, not sure yet.

I was super surprised to find these items. Which was your favorite?  I think the pitcher is my favorite.

Thank you for stopping by to see what I'm up to. May God bless you and your family.

 Until the next adventure,
Vicki

DYI- Thrifted Heart Shape Twig Wreath

A thrift heart shape wreath, I believe I paid $.50 from my January 2019 Thrift Haul

I removed as much of the old hot glue and greenery as I could, I also trimmed up the center twigs.  I had some left over Spanish moss from another project, using Aleene's Tacky Glue, I applied the moss to the wreath.  When the moss applied wreath was dry I attached the burlap ribbon bow  with hot glue.

I really like how this project turned out.

Thank you for stopping by,
Vicki

Curb Cruzing

MP900427593[1]

As you know I have my oldest daughter and her boys staying with me for a while. and every time they visit, I’m trying to find a place for the boys to nap without being disturbed. Friday is ” THE YARD SALE DAY” in my community, so today I went curb cruzing  looking for a bed that would fit somewhere, remember my house is only 1200sq ft.  I found a bargain, it’s a little use but it will get the grandson in there own bed.

Funny thing is, the lady that gave me the bed was not having a yard sale, she was going through her moms things trying to decide what would go to storage and what should be given away.  Her mother had recently been moved into a nursing care facility.   The bed was in her truck and got rained on before she had time to get into storage so she felt she couldn’t ask money for it.

Have a Great Day!

Moving Day

DD1 got the call from Village Apartments they have a opening for her and the boys!  She put in her application around August sometime. She is excited I'm not so excited, she will be 45 minutes away and I won't able to see the boys ever day. It's nice she has her own place, my house is pretty little, but it was nice to be able to see the boys ever day. She has a two bedroom apartment on ground level which will be nice for her. Now I can go hunting for furniture to help furnish her apartment. DD1 already has beds and dresser for the boys, but she needs table and chairs maybe a end table and lamp.

Have a Great Day!

Not such a bargain

Well ...........as you can see I didn't get that plant bargain I thought I did two weeks ago. The marigolds that I bought a couple of weeks ago they bit the dust, the petunia's that I planted in containers are during okay. The few perennial that I bought will come back next year so maybe my bargain wasn't a total loss.
There's always NEXT YEAR!!! With a plan and budget for plantings and more compost to loosen up the soil my flower bed may be beautiful!!! We see, Huh?
But I did get a bargain this week at the Safeway had country pork rib $1.99 # so I dusted off the crock Pot and for dinner we'll be serving BBQ Pork sandwiches, corn on cob, brown rice and water melon. yum yum

Have a wonderful Day!

I Think I'm Such A Good Bargin Hunter

I was doing my bi-weekly shopping and decided to stopped by our K-Mart Store. I wondered out to the garden area and found they were closing out their annual/perennials plants.

I spent @25.00 and home with 2 flats of annuals and 3-3gal perennials
Not sure if it was a bargain or not, most of the annuals were on their last leg like these Marigolds and look at these Petunias their pretty leggy.
This GREAT DEAL will only be great if the plants don't die. I'm hoping I can retrieve at least half of the annuals that are in flats.

I guess time will tell.

Thanks for stopping by!
