Three Bunny Rustic Farmhouse - Welcome Sign for Spring

 Hi Friends,

I finished another Spring/Easter craft project to add to my Spring décor. I had notice a similar sign over at Priscilla's Spring tour.  Here is my attempt to recreate the bunny welcome sign

I used a scrap of black form board I had and drew out a ribbon for the welcome sign the bunnies are holding, painted it gray with some of my Cracker Barrel acrylic paints and wrote Welcome with a black sharpie.

Using a pieces of white form board, I drew out a bunny print and changed up the flopped ears to give the bunnies some character and cut them out of the form board.

.

I have seen black check, gingham, buffalo check all over You-Tube and Pinterest. When I found this fabric at my local quilt shop in January, I purchased 2 yards.  I have been using it in most of my craft projects so far this year.

Once I got the hang of cutting the form board I whipped out a few form board bunny crafts. Find the here

Thank you for stopping by, come again to see what kind of project I'll be doing next.

Farmhouse Spring-DIY Project for Spring

Terracotta
I decided to use some of the terracotta pots from the Dollar Tree, to add a nice touch to my Easter/spring mantel this year.

Here on the mantel I put a little yellow chick into a pot that was laying on it's side.  I also use the waverly chalk paint to paint some of the pots, and I stuck a little nest with some tiny bird eggs.

The Dollar Tree sells 3 1/2 inch pot two to a package and 2 1/2 inch pots 3 to a package.  This was a very easy project and I think the pots added a nice touch to my seasonal decor.

I got this idea off of pinterest, go check it out there are so many ideas.
Let me know what you think of this project.
Thank you so much for stopping by, until next time ahve a wonderful day!

Hopping Windup Bunny Make Over

Bunnies

I put together this little vignette of bunnies hoping down the Bunny Trail on a table in my den.

These little bunnies are helping themselves to some DIY carrot at the carrot patch.

I found these cute wind-up bunnies at the Dollar Tree and thought I could embellish them to fill in some area of my Easter decor.

I just enlarged the ears of theses bunnies, by using white and pink felt I had in my craft stash. I think the bunnies turned out so cute.

Today I'm revamping wind-up chicks, the bunnies I did last wee turned out so, so, cute. I decided to

I just love these little wind-up chicks  from Dollar Tree, but I thought they needed a little jazzing up.

Thank you for stopping by to check this Dollar Tree wind-up dyi.
So until next time, have a wonderful rest of your day!

Rustic Farmhouse Bunny Wreath

Hi friends,  Today I'm working on bunnies cut from form board then covered in black and white gingham fabric.

After watching some of my crafty You Tube favorites, I made a trip to the Dollar Tree and found this cute holiday sign for Easter.  I painted them all with white chalk paint by Waverley.

I got out my favorite fabric, black checked gingham.

Traced out the bunny shape from the fabric.

Then glued the fabric to the bunny shape.

I attached the bunnies to a willow wreath form and hung it on my coat closet in the entry.

Added a little yellow ribbon bow and a white button as a accent. This project turned out so cute, that I made another for the the other side of the closet door.

Til the next diy, thank you for stopping by and God Bless You.

Farmhouse Easter Sunday

Happy Easter

This year I changed up the wreath on my front door

A new Easter Wreath made with Dollar Tree materials.

Decorating my mantel for Easter and the month of April with items that I thrifted.

I have included the vintage bunnies that I thrifted in March, the diy nests, vintage brass candle sticks I have had in my stash for many years, a vintage rooster I picked up at a yard sale a few years ago, the little yellow chick I thrifted in my March Haul and a few diy eggs, two white hens watching over their eggs, yellow flowers were added this year from the Dollar Tree store.
The Welcome Spring/ green checked flag banner I diy last month looks really nice I think on the mantel.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Hi Friends,
I have been slowly making little Easter Vignettes throughout my house decorating for the month of April and for Easter! I hope you will enjoy see some of my collectables and also some old and new DIY's I have added to my April décor.

Here on my front door is the Spring - Easter wreath I made from  "The Dollar Tree: items.

This old window and shelf is right inside my front door.  I think it turned out nicely, the hanging bunny was a March thrift haul items,   a bunch of carrots I made with toilet paper rolls and orange yarn and the little nest is a diy this year.

this vignette is in my living room.  Just a few thrift finds I have collected over the years. My new addition is the little red wooden cart being pulled by a gray bunny I put a little cloth bunny in the cart with a couple of diy eggs. I just this arrangement in my living room.

This shelf was given to me by my granddaughter, she used  part of a pallet and sanded and stained it.  I love this new added piece to my farmhouse décor. I added a few of my chicks and hen in their roost.

This little vignette has bunnies nesting in a Star Tobacco box and hip hopping around.

Happy Spring!

Happy Easter

easter_chick[1]

Now that my kids are older there is always some one working or is out of town, there really isn’t any hype about the coloring the eggs for the Easter Bunny or the Easter Egg Hunt any more, but they still want to have a picnic (if the weather permits), dinner with all the fixings.

I asked my daughter if she wanted to color eggs this year, she said,” she didn’t have time and was to old for that sort of thing.”   However, she was disappointed that I didn’t buy a bag of  robins eggs this year.Go figure?  I just couldn’t because, I’m trying to stay on a food management program and I don’t have will power to stay away from the bag!  Anyway, I did plan for an Easter Dinner and this is what I made…

Easter Dinner Menu

*Glazed Spiral Ham*

*Scalloped Potatoes*

*Green bean casserole*

*Deviled eggs*

And for Dessert - *Pineapple Upside Down Cake*

The day turned out pretty good, my youngest daughter work Easter, so I had a few close friends over and held dinner till she got off work.
