I Changed My Mind and Repainted The Small Bamboo Organizer

Hi Friends, I'm so glad your here!

Remember the small bamboo organizer I thrifted awhile back and painted it green and crackle it?

I thought the brown paint made it to dark, so I painted another two coats of kelly green over the entire shelf.

I think I like this better, I have thought about news print on the back of the cubbies, but
I'm happy with the way this small shelf turned out.

Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to stop by, let my know what you think of my flip.

I would love to hear what you have found thrifting and how you style it in your home.

 So until my next post......

Friday Thrifting for Vintage - Vintage Inspired Vignettes

Hi Friends,

I'm so glad your here! I stopped by my local Vintage/Second Hand Store this week.

Today, I'm so excited to share a few fun treasures I found at this second and store.

I picked up this cute tin for $.50, because of the blue /white checks on the side for a riser in my summer or patriotic decor
***
The MossRose Pattern electric tea pot for $5.00, has the Japan sticker
is a addition to my long lived collection, it didn't come with a cord, but I have several electri tea pot with cords and they have the same plug.
***
I've past by the Poker Chips many times but, decided to pick-up this box for my Patriotic decor coming up in May, for $4.00
***
When I noticed the little log cabin incense burner for $2.50, imediately I thought it would looks great with a few pieces of my Log Cabin Syrup collection I have. After some contemplating, I think the little cabin look amazing in the grandson room.
***
I found an interesting item, was this child plastic record for $5.00, I remember having small solid colored 78 records to play on our Sears Record Player- carrying case, with a white plastic handle.
side one
"The Boy Who Cried Wolf"
side 2
"The trial of "Bumble", the Bee."
***
The brass goblet I probably do not need, but because it was brass I brought it home for
$2.50
***
Lastly, the blue and white tile just caught my eye and it had a Rooster on it for $1.50, so I couldn't leave it behind.

Vintage-Inspired 'SPRING' Vignettes on the Red Shelves

Hi Friends, I'm so glad your here!

Today, I'm continuing to use some of my thrifted treasures for "SPRING" on the Red Shelves in the Familyroom.
***
I tried to stay focused on the  "Bird Theme" idea through out my house for 'Spring'.
bird print is from The Graphic Fairy .
***
I have two red shelves here in a corner of the Familyroom, I added a little greenery to a 'Milkglass Vase'.
***
On the vintage clipboard I'm showing of a picture in a thrifted crochet book of a 'Spring Afghan' pattern with touches of yellow.
***
added a cute little 'White Lamb' I've had for many years, next to a vintage
'Advertisement Ashtray'.
***

following the 'Bird Theme', on this shelf I brought out a super cute 'Vintage Chick'.

***
A very cute 'Vintage Post Card' I bought at a on-line auction.
***

When out thrifting, I'm always on the look-out for vintage doilies. The 'Yellow Crochet Trimmed Napkin' added a nice touch of Spring.
***
Earlier this month I purchased a grab bag from my Local Budget Center, had this cute little 'Bunny'.
I don't think its very vintage, but I thought it was cute for Spring.
***
Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day, to see how I'm adding Vintage-Inspired Vignettes in my home.  I hope you enjoyed seeing how I've decorated my Red Shelves for Spring.
