Vintage-Inspired - Early-Spring on the Shelving Unit

Hi Friends,
 I'm so glad your here!
I've been adding Spring touches to the top of my shelving unit in my entry-room.
My ideas for Early Spring are bringing out the green pip-berries, small lavendar flowers, pussy willows and bird prints
***
I decided to keep the rusty lantern and added a cute little handmade nest,
I kept a couple of my small crocks with added florals.
Last month I thrifted the Perennials magazine with the purple crocus on the cover, I thought the color was great for this vignette.
As you can see I incorporated a thrifted green Fire-King Mug, Terra Cotta pots with a handmade flower bulb I crafted a few years back. Terra Cotta pots are a must for Spring.
***
This gorgeous Bird print is from The Graphic Fairy  I think it looks wonderful in this Vintage Wooden Frame, I thrifted last Summer yard selling for a dollar.
***
This Americam Bird Guide- copyright 1949, was a fun auction find last Spring.
***
I brought my Wooden Seed Box from down in the den and placed it on top of the shelving unit. Filled it with small terra cotta pots a handmade bird nest with a few Robin blue eggs.
I also used a rusty crusty oil can, from the Familyroom and I just added Spring florals.
***
The bird prints look wonderful with the rusty-crusty and the pottery pieces.

Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to stop by to see what treasures I have found out thrifting this week.

I would love to hear what you have found out thrifting this week.

 So until my next post......

Vintage Winter vignettes- Top of China Hutch

I'm so glad your here!

Hi Friends,

Today, I'm so excited to share how the area on top of the china hutch looks for the Winter season.

As you can see I did leave the red thermose,I looked around my home for something to add which are the stack of stonware plates and a white enamel bowl filled with diy frosted pinecones.
I also added a nice treasure I found this month, a small round silver-plate caddy. $1.50
I added three small milk-glass jars I had to lighten up this vignette

In the corner as you can see I just added some winter greenry and a little red bird.
***
in this area I added a collection of pinecones and a cute little 'Snowbaby' figurine I thought the Polar Bear looked good in my Coca-Cola area.
***
Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to stop by to see how I've changed up the decor on the 'China Hutch'
I would love to hear what you have found thrifting and how you style it in your home.

 So until my next post......

Vintage-Inspired-Winter Decor in the Shelving Unit

Hi Friends,

I've been moving some of my staple vintage decor pieces from room to room trying to find a permament spot on my Shelving Unit, if that's possible.

***
My focus is to switch up some of my vintage collections and working the pieces into new vignettes using brown, white, pewter, and green.
***
I moved one of my vintage tackle boxes into this cubby, added a knew found wooden shoe mold, used one of my milkglass compote, a couple of crock pieces and touches of winter.
***
Another cubby I incorporated a few milkglass vases with my collection of Hall prottery pieces, and added a crock bowl.
***
I have incorporated a couple of milkglass and pottery pieces this vignette. While I was shopping around the house, I found two wood picture frame that I added winter prints.
***
In this vignette I have added two cigar boxes that I normally have styled in the Den. I have used a couple more milk-glass pieces and a new chalkboard I thrifted this month.
***
Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to stop by the blog.
I hope I gave you a little bit of inspiration with my plan to change some of my vignettes.

 So until my next post......
