A Cozy Rustic Winter Mantel

 Hi Friends,

Time to change up the mantel, I've packed up all my Christmas collections.  To start decorating the mantel, I thought this DIY was very appropriate for this very cold winter season, here in NW Colorado.

I'm still loving buffalo/gingham check so I leave the black check rag garland all seasons, but added the red/black checked rag garland to my winter displays

New DIY this winter is the wreath with a stick snowflake hung in the center, I like the rustic feel it adds to the mantel.

This awesome white snowflake I diy a couple of winters back out of popsicle sticks.  One of the new DIY's for this winter are using collected bottle brush trees and wooden vintage thread spools and ABC blocks.

Pines cones always come out during my winter decorating, I found the little cardinal tin this year at the thrift store

I also like displaying the red felt birds that I picked up several years ago I believe from "Dollar Tree?", all throughout the house.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you found some inspiration to decorate a corner of your home for the winter season.

May God you and your family,

Vintage Winter Décor Vignettes - In the Den

 Hi Friends,

It is time to start pulling out some of my snowmen for my winter décor.  Today I'll been adding a few touches to the red shelves in the den.

I added a "Snow-Baby" figurine to a shelve I display a few of my cigar boxes along with a little snowman with a red scarf.

I also added a glistening snow flake

Greenery is also something I like to add here and there in my decorating.

The little bottle tree, pinecones, berries, fir boughs are added to my vignettes.

I found quite a few grab bags last summer with wooden thread spools, while thrifting.  I have been adding the inexpensive bottle brush trees to the wooden spools for Christmas and winter décor when I can.

Here is the little cigar box I thrifted during Christmas break, I filled it with white vintage buttons and sat the blue enamel cup on top.

I brought back the frosted pinecone I DIY last year I think I like the contrast of the natural white frost pinecones.

I hope you found some inspiration and get out your snowflake and snowmen to use in your winter décor.

Thank you for stopping by and until next time
May God Bless You and Your Family

A winter Snowflake

I have several window frames that I have collected over the years, this is how I have incorporated them into my winter decor for January.  I found a wonderful blog that has free instructions and template for perfect
snowflakes .

This window frame is on a shelf in the den.

another window in my den with a different snowflake

Thank you for stopping by.
