Vintage Thrifting - a Couple of NEW Found Treasures Made in Japan -also a Few Vintage Glass Juice Jugs for Late Summer

Hi Friends,

I'm so glad your here! I've been thrifting again!

Today, I'm excited to share a couple new treasures I found to add to a Late-Summer Vignette.
***
***
I hope I can give you a few ideas how I've used vintage finds in my cottage decorating.
***
a pair of 1950's Rooster, made in Japan, not sure the manufacture.
aren't they a pride pair.
***
I purchased this creamer on half price day so I paid $2.00 for this amazing vintage creamer.
I'm guessing this a 'Majolic Basket Weave' pattern creamer, it is stamped Made in Japan.
***
Because it's the Harvest Season, I also dug out my Vintage Juice Jugs, I thrifted a box of six or seven glass juise jugs in a box for a $1.00 several years ago and haven't really incorporated them into my decor yet......
So Here We Go!

Vintage Juice Jugs
I found these free labels from free printables @ The Graphic Fairy.

Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to stop by '"My Little Colorado Cottage' I found a few fun treasures this week to display in my cottage decor.

Vintage Vignette using Thrifted Silver-Plate and Pewter on the Mantel for June

Hi Friends,

Today I'm re-styling the mantel for June,  I replace the nests with eggs and the diy bird houses with vintage pieces that I've had for many years from around the house.

I love using this diy CountryFarmhouseWreath through out the summer months. You may remember seeing this wreath displayed in my May post "Early Vintage Summer on the Mantel".

I gathered a few thrifted green books to add more color and interest.

I love using this very sentimental piece of pottery in vignette, because my oldest daughter made it, when she was in middle school about 20 years ago.
The pewter platter in the back of this vignette was thrifted last fall.

A couple of silver-plate pieces I pulled from other parts of the house to add another layer to the mantel

In this area of the mantel I rearranged the Hens a little and placed a vintage glass door knob on top of the thrifted books.

If you remember the dilemma I had over this awesome horn mug.
for a while at my local vintage thrift store trying to decide whether I should pick it up or not.

Silver-Plate platter are just a nice vintage treasure to have, their very versatile to use in a vignette. But the nice use of this large platter is for cookies at Christmas time.

If your interested in the diy tutorial of either of the garland check out my post Black and White Check Garland.

I want to thank you for checking in, please check back any time.  I'm trying to post every week with a thrift haul vignettes of where I show off the treasures I find and a few pic's at seasonal home decorating in and outside my home.

Until next time.........

Vintage/Farmhouse Fall Mantel

Hi friends,

Today I'm sharing my Fall mantel.  I have added a little vintage, some thrifted items and a few diy projects I crafted last year and some craft project I had time to do this year.

My focus this Fall was darker oranges and reds and browns so I brought a ceramic pumpkin from Dollar Tree that I painted a color I liked better. Some vintage canning jars a black rooster that is part of my vintage collection.  This year I added two trivets that I thrifted this year, painted with white chalk paint and put a little distress to the metal.  The fall leave garland,

mums from Dollar Tree a few years ago. The wire pumpkin are thrifted this year, the buffalo pumpkin are a diy last year.

Last year Dollar Tree diy jar sign, a thrifted wire pumpkin, a remade thrifted trivet and vintage black rooster, Dollar Tree fall leaf garland and floral picks

something new to my fall décor is this Thankful sign I purchase  at Walmart I believe. I added to the fall leaf garland a few more strands of fall leaves from Dollar Tree. A messy bow to the top of my rustic window, from raffia, fall leave sprigs and a buffalo check ribbon. And a few pip berries here and there.

added a little Spanish moss and a black checked ribbon to a amber jar, another vintage rooster a few bitter sweet sprigs, pheasant feathers.

Thank you for checking in to see what project I'm working on this week.  Until the next creative moment.

My God Bless you and your family,
