Outside Halloween Decor

This skeleton is a milk jug project I made several years back and it still is a nice addition to my Halloween decor.  The black cat in the window is a vintage die cut I found at a Good Will store many years ago.  In the right corner is a vinyl blow-up bat I believe I bought at Target some years ago.

Halloween project I made this month using a straw wreath form styroform balls cut in half, google eyes ring spiders and webbing cloth.

I’m cramped

I had to move some of my office into my very small bedroom 7’x9’

DSCI2326

DSCI2329

DSCI2330

I have my computer desk, my printer and job search files, my bill file and spring semester notes books .

My last oldest daughter moved up north and my youngest daughter is off to college, it’s time for MOM to get her space back!

Now all I have to do is have a plan of attack-

  1. move bed out
  2. vacuum
  3. unload the book cases
  4. move book cases to use as a divider
  5. load up book cases
  6. vacuum
  7. move bed back in and set up

Doesn’t sound to complicated right? Right just back wrenching! Ouch

Have a Great Day!

College Bound

MP900412066[1]

My favorite blog sites are all blogging about back to school parties, getting the kids back into routines.

At my house we have been having the peace out people, I’m college bound get together.  It is not unusual to have kids coming and going from my house on the weekends, but I’ve had kids at my house every night for a week! It took my daughter a week to get together with every one of her friends one on one. She is acting like she moving to another country and never see them again, she is only going to be 3 hours away.

Beginning a  parent a see how our children mature and grow. I had always thought that my daughter would be so excited about moving out, that would be the only thing on her mind, but in reality she has noticed that all of her friends since grade school will also be moving on and that friendship start fading  away as all the friends are moving on their own adventures.

Have a Great Day!

Fall is approaching

All the blogs I follow are talking about stocking up for winter baking.
Funny thing is, I recently started working at a Kroger branch store in the bakery department and I have had a dozen customers, asking to purchase, used icing buckets, to store their oat, flour or sugar in.
Have a great Day!

Curb Cruzing

MP900427593[1]

As you know I have my oldest daughter and her boys staying with me for a while. and every time they visit, I’m trying to find a place for the boys to nap without being disturbed. Friday is ” THE YARD SALE DAY” in my community, so today I went curb cruzing  looking for a bed that would fit somewhere, remember my house is only 1200sq ft.  I found a bargain, it’s a little use but it will get the grandson in there own bed.

Funny thing is, the lady that gave me the bed was not having a yard sale, she was going through her moms things trying to decide what would go to storage and what should be given away.  Her mother had recently been moved into a nursing care facility.   The bed was in her truck and got rained on before she had time to get into storage so she felt she couldn’t ask money for it.

Have a Great Day!

Monsoon Weather

In my neck of Colorado, we have really been get the affects of the monsoon the weather men are calling it.
I wake up to blue skies but by afternoon the dark cloud are moving in with wind and lighting by evening it's blue sky just as the sun is setting.  The next day I wake up to rain and thunder by noon the sky is clearing by evening the dark clouds start rolling in with wind and lighting.
So...This weekend I plan to go south a few 100 mile to get some sun

Do you have plans for the weekend?
