Hi Friends,
I'm so glad your here!
Today, I went hunting for vintage treasure hunt to my local budget center.
I'm so excited to share a few vintage items that I found......
I went through the vintage glass and was unable to find anything new.
Next, I dug through the tubs of doilies and discovered this cute yellow trimmed doily.
***
I looked through the photo albums and found four more.

Also, found this great Artisan Crafted wooden picture frame. This frame looks like it might have been a burned wood project.
I added a clipping from a vintage song book I have in my craft closet, but I'm not sure if I like this print in the frame, I'll think about it and let you know if I change it out for a different print.

I picked a few more sewing items
a small bag of buttons for $.75, a great variety of colors, plus a few metal buttons. I added the buttons to the big jar in my little sewing nook.
Looking through the bin of thread eye-spied a spool of blue embroidery thread, I was thinking to mix in to the Patriotic/Summer Décor', this year.

Lastly,
I found three very cool vintage books...
The 1st book,
was first published in 1939 - 'Mystery at Martha's Vineyard'
The 2nd book,
a 1955 reader digest with a couple of very interesting colored advertisements.
I think it will look great.

The 3rd book,
is a 1944 "Sunset's Kitchen Cabinet Recipes" book, volume three
the graphic's in this book are so fun!
Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to stop by to see what treasures I have found out thrifting this week.
I would love to hear what you have found thrifting and how you style it in your home.
So until my next post......
May God Bless You and Your Family,

Great finds...I enjoyed seeing what you came home with Vicki! The advertisements are really fun to look at...I once stumbled upon some magazines from the 1950s at a yard sale for free...I had the best time looking at the ads. One of them mentioned a Cigarette brand and said it was the one most recommended by Doctors, lol! Fun stuff. That Mystery at Martha's Vineyard sounds like it would be a good read, but so pretty just to display too. Thanks for sharing everything...have a beautiful weekend friend!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind comment. Funny comment about cigarette brand recommended by Doctors. I did skimmed over a couple of pages of Mystery at Martha's Vineyard, it about a girl and a boat inherited from an Uncle.
DeleteYou always find such interesting stuff. I love old buttons, too; I enjoy using them as plates for dollhouse food, dh picture frames, ash trays, and even food--some look like jellos or cakes! I really like the old jars you have your sewing things in! And that doily is so springy-it needs a vase of daffodils on it!
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy, thank you so much for your kind comments. Great idea using buttons in the Dollhouse. I do love colorful doilies. Have a wonderful week friend.
