I Found Some Christmas Decorations.... PLUS ......a Fun Find! Box of 1950's - 1970 Ephemera - Yard Sale Weekend

Hi Friends,
 I'm so glad your here!
Today, I'm so excited to share Christmas Decor! I found out yard selling this weekend.

All Christmas items for $5.00!

There were 4 or 5 cases of 1 1/2" or 2" multiple color ornaments!
I've accumulated so many ornaments in the past year out thrifting, I didn't think I needed any more!

However, I've gotten into making vintage inspired assemblages for the holidays, so I can justify buying 3 boxes, RIGHT?
***
-Christmas Jingle Bells-

I've been collecting little brass bells to make a Brass Christmas Bell Wreath for some time... for the prices I couldn't pass over the Jingle Bells.
***

-Red Faux Velvet Christmas Bows with Little Bells-

For crafting or to add to Christmas presents.
I thought the Holly Tin will look great as a riser in a Christmas vignette later this year.
***

-Christmas Crafting-

Faux Satin ornaments are great for crafting along with the confetti Santa's for assemblage's
the Santa Garland was interesting. I'll probably cut out individual Santa's to make stickers or adorn Christmas presents.
***

-Ephemera!-

If you remember a month ago I stopped by this 'once a month' yard sale and only bought 2 magazines for $2.00 each.

As you can see the box of Mechanic Illustrated Magazines was still there.
Got got the box of 65 magazines for $25.00.
Tobacco advertisement's that I'm thinking I may frame and add to my vintage tobacco collection
I think this was a good bargain.

-For a Collection-

older green/blue mason jar for $5.00 will go into the Ball Jar collection.

Hi Friends,

 I'm so glad your here!

Today, I'm sharing a rather small yard sale haul not many yard sale this weekend and unfortunely, not much vintage to be found,

However.........
I have been on the hunt for used planters and at the....

First yard sale,

I found 3 tall planter for a $1.00 each, two square tan planters for $.25 each

I've had quite a few flower start waiting to be planted.

***
I also picked up a vintage spice rack for a $1.00 at this yard sale,

FYI...I have been collecting spice bottles for quite some time,
to hold sewing notions in my sewing nook, and was looking for a cabinet. SCORE!!
***
Another sale,

I found two vintage books for $.25 each and a planter for $2.00, I'm always gifting plant starts, so it's nice to have extra small planters.

The 1st unique book,
is a book by Art Linkletter - Kids Say the Darndest Things!

I believe I was in middle school, when this TV show  aired on Saturday nights in 1967, I think.
***
The second vintage book,
I'm sure you all have seen the Movie 'True Grit' ? that came out in 1969 with John Wayne and Glen Campbell,
anyway I found this book by Charles Portis called 'True Grit', copyright 1968. SUPER COOL!
I've added the amazing novel in a old west vignette, I have on the shelf in a spare room.
***
The last sale I stopped by had quite a few boxes of pint jelly jars for $2.00 a box. I just couldn't leave those jars behind at that price.

and I do have a garden that, some years produces quite a few tomatoes that I will be harvesting.

I've Been Thrifting at My Local Budget Thrift Store

Hi Friends,

 I'm so glad your here!

Today, I'm so excited to share a small thrift haul from my local Budget Center.

There was a lot of furniture  that I sure wish I had the room for...

one older vanity with a great tall mirror the price was $125.00, the mirror was probably worth it, but a little rich for my pocket book,

Also there was a oak tall boy with a small mirror the price was $150.00 (wish  I had the room)
***
I'm using the tan planter in the back yard.....
***

The 1950's-1960's green ribbed hexagon/base vase, made by E.O. Brody Co., Cleveland, Ohio is going to my collection.......
***

I look-up the shot glass no marking found similar and there really not vintage......
***
The white beaded evening clutch is really not vintage either but I thought it was cool.

I have a small white satin beaded clutch, that was given to me when I graduated from eight grade, maybe 44 years ago.

I believe it was a tradition at the time.
