Weekend Vintage Finds-Vintage Wooden Mail Sorter

Hi Friends,
 I'm so glad your here!

I went Yard Selling this weekend, I was on the hunt for Shelves and Cubbies I was not disappointed I found 4 potential projects!
***
I found a vintage Mail-Sorter
it's missing some of the dividers, but I don't care, I believe I can make my own we'll see.....
Look at the Dove-Tail Joints, super nice! I paid $5.00.
***
The next two shelve are smaller, I paid $2.00 for the pair
I'm planning just painting these and used them for a few of my vintage bottles to display.
***
This cubby is a Shoe Caddy, for $3.00
my thought is cutting it in half, and making a couple of spice cabinets. We'll see how this project will go
Let me know what you think of my ideas?
***
Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to see what is happening at "My Little Colorado Cottage"

So until my next post......

Right now I'm using the 'Kraft Brick' wooden cheese boxes in my Summer Vingettes on the Mantel

***
When the pack of 'Praying Hands Sticker' came up for bid........
it took me back to the days of Sabbath School when I was little,  we would get sticker for attendence
do you remember these stickers?
This sweet seller threw in the extra epherema for scape booking or crafts.
***
Lastly, these adorable tiny dolls,

I just couldn't pass up the vintage 'Indian Cheif Doll' for $8.00, which is a little high for me to spend. I just couldn't resist.
1950's St. Labre Indian Catholic School.

I have a room for the Grandkids when they come to visit and I display my collection of nostigic Old West paraphernalia
***

This cute little 1950's 3" plastic 'Baby Boy Doll' I purchased for $3.00 to add to a few other plastic 3" dolls that I have with different poises.

This cute 3" Baby Doll is a composite Doll from the 50's

Vintage Treasure Shopping - Vintage Nancy Ann Dolls - 1/2 price day

Hi Friends,
 I'm so glad your here!

I just could not believe my eyes....
I actually found a small bag of 6 Vintage Dolls for $10.00
***
I'm slowly learning about 1930 - 1940 dolls
I believe this cute pair of hard plastic dolls are called 'Embassy Costume Dolls' I was not able to find any markings to tell me otherwise.

This adorable Burnette doll is wearing a
pink taffeta/netting for the bodice and a cream color bow at the waist. The rest of the dress is made of cream satin material with a pink satin ruffle on the hem, seems to be a little faded but in good shape.
***
Such a sweet face with hand-painted eyes and lips
***
This copper tone redhead's dress has a gray color taffeta/netting used for the bodice and has a peach color satin skirt with a light gray taffeta/netting trim on the hem

this doll also has hand-painted blue eyes and lips.
***
This cutie was stamped 'Princsee Ann'
as you can see she has hand-painted eyes and lips
she is a bique doll with ginger color morhair.

'Princess Ann' is wearing a gold-tone satin dress with fringe embelishments.

the bag of 6 vintage dolls was priced at $20.00 I was shopping on half price day.
***
This is why I brought the bag home!
'Nancy Ann Dolls'

I've been collecting 'Nancy Ann Storybook' doll for a couple of years, so was very excited to have found three of the dolls were 'Nancy Ann Dolls' in very nice shape and the clothing was in great shape.

This cutie is part of the 'Operatta Series

her name is 'Bloomer Girl'
because she is wearing red pantaloons,
I'm sad her shoe tips are broke:(
this cutie has a bisque body and hand-painted eyes and lips
***
I haven't been able to find a name or series for this   'Nancy Ann Doll'. Very cute red, white, and blue striped dress with lace trim,

but she also has a bisques body, morhair wig, and hand-painted eyes and lips.
***
Lastly, this adorble little 'Nancy Ann Doll' with a felt bonnet
yellow satin dress with a cream color eyelet apron, so cute.

I hope you enjoyed my thrift haul today,  thank you so much for taking time out of your day to stop by 'My Little Colorado Cottage'

Small Haul from 'My Local Vintage/Thrift Store' - Weekend Thrifting

Hi Friends, I'm so glad your here!

Today, stopped by my Local Vintage Thrift , They have a few new pieces of furniture, way out of my price range. However, I did find a couple of great treasures!
***
The first, is this  1920-1930 wooden vintage frame by Eastom Kodak $12.00 with an adorable little girls picture is dated 1935
***
I also carried this treasure around for a while, the price was $7.50. I thought it might be a Pipe Rest or Ashtray,
but once I got it home and cleaned it up a bit, I believe it is a Sears Roebuck and Co. Kitchy Earthtone Ceramic Spoon-Rest, maybe from the 70's?
I believe that means it is Vintage, Right?

I've placed the vintage spoon rest in a vignette on a shelf in the Familyroom.

Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to stop by to see what treasures I have found out thrifting this week.

Friday Vintage Thrifting - Found a Few Miscellanous Treasures

Hi Friends,

 I'm so glad your here!
Today, I'm so excited to share my thrifting haul today.
Unfortunely the thrift store was pretty bare on this trip, but I did find a few Micellanous Treasures.

This first item was $1.50 and I thought it might make a fun game with Grandkids. Sending decodable letter to them
***
I've been collecting play dishes for my 3 year old grandson and these little tin pots will be added to the box. Each pot was 25 cent.
***
Once again I found a few more cookie cutters, I really have a hard time passing these items, @10 cent each.
***
I did pick up two hard back books for $1.00 each
***
Tree wrap bundle I thought I would craft with it,
however taking some time to think about it I could use this wrap on the corn in the garden to ward-off earwigs. I'll let you know if it works.
***
Lastly, I found two Eggshell colored Homer Laughlin 'Creme" Dessert plates with the embossed fruit rim for $1.00 for the pair.
***
