Vintage Finds - See How I Displayed Them For My February Décor
Hi Friends,
I'm up to making some new vintage looking décor for February this year. I have brought back a few of my favorite past Valentine DIY's and have made a couple DIY's this year.
I added a few Valentine card to the mantel. last fall I found a couple of new vintage Valentine cards will be added some where into my February décor
Coal bucket and shovel I had a coal bucket I've been using as a planter outside in the garden. Today I'm using the coal bucket in doors by the fireplace, with a thrifted coal shovel, will also be added to the fireplace hearth, filled with pinecones I've gather this summer.
This DIY project was pretty simple. I saw this awesome idea from Instagram and I just needed to try this project. So I went to the wood pile to look for the perfect log, carved our initials out and went over raw wood with antique stain.
I did thrift a music book with some classic Love Song, aged the sheet music page with coffee grounds and display on a vintage clip board? I decided to add a few embellishments.
Teamed up the love song with recent thrift items. I love how the vignette looks.
Thrifted 45's I used to display the heart shape trinket box and dollies I've thrifted last year.

Country Farmhouse DIY Valentine Cards
Hi Friends,
I decided to make a weave heart pouch for chocolate goodies to give away. I found a very Valentine's card/basket for candies treats for the students in my reading groups. In this great book I thrifted a couple of months age.
It's that time! For a diy Valentine Card! So I took the challenge to make these little weave basket heart card this year, for the students I have in small group reading.
They look so cute and the diy video made it look easy. So, Why not, I thought. I can whip out these cards in know time. Oh No! It wasn't that easy for me, any way I persevered on. lol
I had the pieces cut out and the idea in my mind was to just slide the two pieces together. It didn't happen that way.
In four and a half hours I had made 17 I needed 80 by Monday! What was I thinking?
I filled the little Valentine basket with candy and will give them to the grandkids for Valentines Day.
I hope I give you a little inspiration you to make Valentine Day special for your love ones.
Until next time, May God Bless You and Your Family,

Vintage Thrift Haul
Hi Friends,
I just had to drop by my local thrift/ antique store, to see if I could find any new items for my February décor. I did find a few things to add to my some of my collections.
I originally stopped by to look for a few pieces to transform the vintage oil lamps to electric and last time I was there there was a basket with odds and ends of mantels and electrical items. Unfortunately, there wasn't much I could not find related to Valentines.
BUT... This is what I ended up taking home.
a wonderful replica wooden candle stick with a handle? For $1.00

I did find a couple of things to go with my March and Spring décor this time. This little saucer is just previous, don't you think for $1.00? The mark on the bottom says, "Royal Albert Bone China, England".The Vintage/Thrift store I went to is starting to carry linens, these two hand embroidered dollies, caught my eye, they were $1.00 each.

I know I already have a pair like these but I just couldn't resist! Even though the pair was $10.00! Confession, I know I have got to be a little more selective when I'm out thrifting.

Rustic Diy for February With a Vintage Aged Touch
Hi Friends,
I'm putting together a quick Valentine project tonight.
Cut out a few pages from a thrifted music book, crumpled the pages and soak the pages in left over coffee.
Thank you for stopping by, just a quick Valentine made from a music page, a few embellishment. I think this project turned out so nice.
So until next May God Bless You and Your Family.

February is Fast Approaching - Decorate with Me
Hi Friends,
February is fast approaching and I need to get some of my February décor put up. This year I 'm keeping my Winter Décor up. I like the cozy warm feeling with my 'Winter Décor.'
The Den
I brought out some of my years past February DIY's. Here in the den, I just stuck these felt hearts I made a few years back, into a hurricane cloche along with the pinecones setting in a tobacco box I had out for my 'Winter Décor.'
