Spring/ Easter Vignettes on My Vintage Record Player in the Entry room

Hi Friends,

I'm so glad your here!

Today, I'm so excited to share how I have styled a few vignettes on my  Vintage Claro-phonic Cabinet Record Player

The first grouping, I've just used a hand-crocheted doily on top of a checkered place mat a few vintage thread spools, a couple of green pharmacy bottles and a cast-iron candles holder I found thrifting.

*****
This vignette I brought in the cute green garlic jar, I think works well together with the Royal Copley Hen and Rooster.

another wonderful vintage post-card post-marked April 12, 1911 Carleton, Michigan nestled in a cream color 'Hull' planter

Lastly, I grouped another 'Royal Copley rooster another vintage  Easter post-card I used one of my emerald green tea cup and added Easter grass and a few hand-painted eggs a thrifted vase and a S&P hen on a silver-plate platter.

This cute post-card with 'Gold Embossed Chicks' under a flower, has a post-mark of 1912 Detroit, Michigan  has a one cent stamp

Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to stop by to see the vignettes on top my of my vintage Clarophonic record player.

Vintage-Inspired Hand-Made Chicks For Spring

Hi Friends,

 I'm so glad your here!

Today, I'm so excited to share how I hand-made these sweet little chicks

I start with a small pipe cleaner

I twisted the pipe cleaner to a strip of aluminum foil.

start building a bird form adding a little mow aluminum foil

I cover the aluminum foil with the paper-clay I used to hand-made the vintage-inspired snowmen back in January.

Lately I've been following a wonderful artsy You-Tuber Rosanna at "Rosanna Makes"
she is fun to watch, she has great techniques, you will enjoy her content. Please go visit her channel.
*****
I added yellow water-color paint to my water-glue mixture for brushing on the cotton over the paper-clay.

Rosanna uses cotton/diluted glue wash to finish off her sculptures'.  Please visit her channel it's lovely.

Friday Vintage Thrifting for Vintage Treasures

Hi Friends,

I'm so glad your here!

Today, I'm so excited to share a few great Treasures I found this week out thrifting.

Because, I do have a vintage record player I decided to pick up a few records to display on top of the player this Summer.

I love the graphic on this sleeve and also the picture of the whole 'Guy Lombardo Band on the album.
(which you can't see so well)

*****

A silver- plate low sided basket or serving platter for
 $3.00.

Super adorable framed picture of a
child praying, just couldn't leave it behind. Can't really see, but the little girl has her dolls lined up praying with her, So Cute.

*****
Last thrifting outing, I past these cutie candles two weeks ago.  This week they were still there, so I picked them up for $.75 each.

Was not able to find any information about these cuties, so not sure if there vintage or not. They could be newer, maybe from Russ Berry Company?

*****
Oh by the way, you may have notice I also picked up a ramekin or jelly jar I normally pick these kinds of canning jars use for snacks- (like nuts, pudding, chip, berries).
***
Cute vase made in Italy for FTD I'm going to gift it to a friend with a new baby start from a Mother Spider Plant.

*****

A bag of three embroidery thread spools-$1.50

I use the spools for décor in my sewing nook and you never know I might do some crocheting and need a spool. HA HA

*****

I just could not pass up a bag of 'Rick-Rack' for $2.50  there were 'NINE' different colors in the bag, to go out and buy at a fabric store I would pay between $2.00 to $3.50 a package.  Good Buy!

This bundle will be going into my crafting stash
