Weekend Thrifting - Found A Few More Brass Garden Water Nozzle - Plus Vintage Books at Great Prices!

Hi Friends,

 I'm so glad your here!

Today, I'm so excited to share a few fun treasure I found yard sales this weekend at a great price. Two boxes for a total of $9.00

First item was a 2003-Christmas series "Budweiser" Mug to add to my collection for $.50

I also saw a pair of vintage Brass Water Nozzles  ($.25 each) and a yellow "Nelson Fan Rose" hose sprinkler ($.10) to add to my garden seed box vignette.
I really light how this vignette is coming together.

deep in a box was a pair of Silver-Plate Vases  (made in Italy - $2.50). I hesitated a bit, wondering if I really needed them but, look how great the vases look on top of the high-boy in the guest room, I tend to add more girly treasures in this room.

I just can't seem to leave vintage books behind, especially this set of 3 "Hollister's" story books, how cool!

I also found another awesome Tomato Pin Cushion it was placed in my tiny sewing nook.

In a free box I found this adorable Baby Night Shirt

It has a little bit of tucking and small embroidery flowers (made in the Philippines with USA Cotton)

Last week I was going through a closet and found a box of things I have collected over the year and came across this cute child hanger I had picked-up years ago,

it works well with the newly found night shirt don't you think?

All of these items I paid $5.00 for the box

In another box were 5 large
wooden picture frames (priced at a $1.00 each)

This cute birch candle (priced at $1.00) I will be using in my winter decorating.
and a set of twin bed spreads (priced at $1.00 each) I'm going to use on the grandkids bunkbed.

I paid a total of $4.00 for the whole box!

Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to stop by to see what treasures I have found out thrifting this week.

  1. I remember when ribcord bedspreads were the thing; my college roommate and I each got a turquoise one to match our dorm room. They wear forever! You always find some great treasures. I love the baby dress on the hanger; I've always loved vintage baby hangers and have one or two. I hit a large sale held in the nearby armory, but it was mostly kids stuff. However, Sun. was half price day so I got some bargains. Three pots of multicolored mums (Michaels 9.99) for $1! Will bring one to a friend in rehab; she loves silk flowers! Two New England Patriots mugs for $2! Two shower curtains that I will turn into tablecloths--$2 each. Another tablecloth for $2. Came home with 2 big heavy bags. I have been using up some of my picture frame stash framing Christmas carol and song sheet music and embellishing the frames with some Christmas greenery and a little figurine, Nativity buttons to match the song. Brot a bunch to church for our Nov. bazaar and friends admired them! Sold one early so I have to make another one!

  2. Hi Kathy,
When I was in high school my sister and I had bunk beds with green ribbed bed spreads. LOL I wonder if they came from Montgomery Wards, we lived in a very small town in Colorado, my mom ordered everything from the catalog. Sound like a great sale you found and great prices on silk flowers. Using shower curtains for table cloths, is a great idea! Your Christmas frame project sound very nice, I'm sure you are very busy getting ready for the bazaar. Have a great rest of your week.
