Hi Friends,
 I'm so glad your here!

I went Yard Selling this weekend, I was on the hunt for Shelves and Cubbies I was not disappointed I found 4 potential projects!
***
I found a vintage Mail-Sorter
it's missing some of the dividers, but I don't care, I believe I can make my own we'll see.....
Look at the Dove-Tail Joints, super nice! I paid $5.00.
***
The next two shelve are smaller, I paid $2.00 for the pair
I'm planning just painting these and used them for a few of my vintage bottles to display.
***
This cubby is a Shoe Caddy, for $3.00
my thought is cutting it in half, and making a couple of spice cabinets. We'll see how this project will go
Let me know what you think of my ideas?

Americana - Inspired Summer Vignettes - Some of My Vintage Treasures

Hi Friends,
 I'm so glad your here!
Today, I'm so excited to share how I have decorated my Fireplace Mantel for Summer. Using many of my Thrifted Vintage Treasures.

I've put one of the Patriotic Assemblages
in a thrifted Vintage Pottery Mug with a logo of the "The  of United States of American 1776-Constitution Old Ironsides"

In the back I found a Sheet Music Book titled "God Bless America", which I thought blends in with the Americana theme really well.
I also wanted to incorprate a vintage Glass a Vintage Glass-Frog to use to display minny the American Flags.
I really like this little vignette.
***
A few year back I found this amazing metal tray with a picture of Mt. Rushmore, so I like to add it in to the Americana mix for my Summer Decor.
***
Back in the 90's, I was living in a small fishing town and had to cross the 'Tacoma Narrows Bridge' every day to go to work in Tacoma, WA.
One weekend I was shopping at a local Flea-Market and found this awesome 'Vintage 1950's Commemorative Plate' and of course, I needed to purchase it for $4.00 ( it was in perfect shape at the time.  Sadly over the years it has been broken.)

but is still a very awesome piece and looks great in my Americana decorating.
***
In the vintage window frame in the center of the fireplace mantel, I've hung a thrifted 'Grapevine Star' with Pip-Berries and a strip of Homespun Fabric.
Also, I made another simple 'Americana Craft Project' I made, is the small fabric banner, using gingham fabric I have on hand and fabric glue

Also in this vignette I added this
in a thrifted vintage 'Hull Planter', with a few pip-berry floral picks, also my new items a wooden "Kraft Cheese Brick Box"

This small vignette I added a thrifted Vintage Book "History and Rhymes of the Lost Battalion" along with a few handmade items.

I have added another Patriotic Assemblage in one of my Vintage Pewter Mugs
on top of a 'Vintage United States President Trivia Game Box' I found out thrifting.
The lastest United State President list is President George Bush our fourty first President.
***
Another vignette on the fireplace mantel I have a "Last stand" etched glass mug filled with Rusty Patriotic Flags and hand made cloth posies
with a hand-made wooden American Flag in the background.
***
Lastly, on the far right of the mantel I have group together a few thrifted treasure for this 'Vintage Americana' vignette
Setting on top of a thrifted 'Red Stripe Cookie Tin', I filled my Vintage Milkglass Wedding Compote with a breadloaf pan, some vintage tinsel, a red painted star, a blue candle, a diy firecracker and a little sign.

Americana - Inspired Fabric Banner - Handmade Fabric Craft

Hi Friends,

 I'm so glad your here!

Today, I'm so excited to share a very Americana inspired simple fabric project.
***
I've shared that I'm always on the lookout for fabric at a reasonal price, so using fabric I had on hand.
***
My first step was to make a triangle template and using my pinking shears, cut out 12 triangles out the blue checkered fabric.
Then, using a star template I cut out 12 stars from the stripe fabric
I also have a good stash of buttons
The next, step was to glue the star on the triangle piece of fabric and top it off with a button, I chose white buttons
Once, those pieces were dry I ran a line of glue to the top of the triangle and attached the blue ric/rac trim.

Let me know what you think about this simple craft?

Vintage-Inspired Summer Decorating - Americana - Coca Cola Collection

Hi Friends,

 I'm so glad your here!

Today, I'm sharing how I have added Vintage-Inspired Summer  vibes to the top of my China Hutch
In the corner here I stuffed a few strands of Vintage Blue/Red Aluminum Foil Garland, I had thrifted a few years ago in the Gumball Machine.
Behind the Gumball Machine is a Coca-Cola Tray I found at a Auction back in the late 70's.
the large Ball Canning Jar is a thrifted find from my trip to Illinois to see family last Spring Break.
***

In the thrifted Vintage Coca-Cola Crate I combined a few Coca-Cola Bottles with small American Flags,
along with a Leather Baseball Mit & Baseball
my one and only Ironestone Pitcher.

I also included a Vintage Coca-Cola Stainglass logo 16oz tumbler, with a few of my Handmade Cloth Posies
***
I decided to change this area up a bit, by adding a Metal Tackle Box
Earlier this year I found two bags of Fishing Bobbins, thinking at the time they would look great in my Summer decorating. I believe I paid $5.00 in total.
I also added a few ffishing pole items to the Tackel Box
The Handmade Wooden Sign I did many years ago, just a scrap piece of wood I painted red and painted 'God Bless America'
I hope you enjoyed seeing how  I have brought a few Americana touches to my Coca-Cola Collection.
