Hi Friends,

 I'm so glad your here!
Today, I'm so excited to share how I'm using the new Christmas tins,

I found out thrifting last month.

at first, my thought was to use the vintage Christmas tins on the shelf above the kitchen cabinets,

well....
I did use the red candy stripe tin as a riser and I thought the winter cabin scene would look nice
 together in this vignette.
***

I used the cream colored poinsetta tin as a riser with a sprig of faux floral in the vignette.

***

The awesome Curries and Ives tin went upon the hutch, I love the winter scene on this tin.

***
The pair of white candle tin, I thought gave a nice touch of color.

Vintage-Inspired Terra-Cotta Planters on the Front Porch For Early Summer

Hi Friends,

I'm so glad your here! Today, I'm sharing how I use some of my thrifted find on my 'Front Porch Area for Early Summer'.

As you know from a few of my posts back, I'm always on the hunt for Terra-Cotta planters

Last week I thrifted a few clay pots

All these planters cost me $5.00, maybe?

I've also thrifted a couple of enamel tubs, which are a item that is on my Treasures to look for list.

You cant tell from this picture but I have the green trimmed tub sitting on a brass/copper bucket.

Sitting on top of a bucket is the newly thrift blue enamel tub

I did pick up two packs of small & medium 'Dollar Trees' clay pots for $1.25 each.

As you can see I kept out the wire milk crates and the rusty wire potato basket

I live in zone3-4  our weather right now is not warm enough at night to have annual left out over night.  But I have all my pot setting out waiting till 'Memorial Day' when worry of frost will be over.

Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to stop by to see how I used a few thrifted treasures and arranged my front porch area for Early Summer Blooms in a few weeks.

I would love to hear what you have been prepping for Summer with your thrifted treasures and how you style them in your home and garden.

 So until my next post......

Shopping For Vintage Treasures-Friday Thrift Haul

Hi Friends,
 I'm so glad your here!

Today, I'm so excited to share What I found out thrifting this week.

My first stop this week was my local community thrift store.  There really wasn't much Valentine items  to dig through, but I did find the aluminum cookie cutter in one of the boxes.

I walked over to the glass shelving, were all the small figurines and breakables are displayed and spotted the super cute hand fired, hand painted ceramic
 trinket container! so adorable.

*****
A couple of days ago I stopped by the other thrift store in town that carries more vintage items, their places have double in the past year, but occasionally I do find treasure for under $10.00

*****
First I spotted a face cream Milk-Glass jar w/a plastic tan lid, in the front window of the Vintage-Thrift Store, I'm thinking it's Avon , couldn't find a mark.  I thought it looked great as a riser for a pink depression glass creamer in this Valentine vignette in the China Cabinet.

*****
I also found a few great vintage books for a $1.00 a piece

*****
This super cool wooden hinged box was wrapped in foil
and there was a cloth bottom, I looked it up.

*****
Oh my! I found some very cool "President Trivia Cards"
Oh my! I found some very cool "President Trivia Flash Cards"
They look GREAT in this corner shelf.

*****
As a small child I remember getting these jelly jars, I like Grape Jelly the best! I pick up these cute little jars when I see them because they are usually price at $.25-$1.00.
I have recently are using these cute jars for snippets of plant to grow the roots

*****

Lastly, the best find this week were this adorable pair of 'Dutch-inspired  Souvenir Dolls'.

These cuties were not priced, So the owner said what about $10.00, I'm not good at all haggling a price, so I paid the ten dollars. This  amazing pair will go into my small doll collection.
