Rustic Spring Front Porch Décor - Rustic vintage for Spring
Hi Friends,
Spring is here, out on my front porch.
My thought process this year was to incorporate burlap, buffalo checked ribbon, a little Spanish moss vines, twigs and a couple logs into a rustic farmhouse look for my front porch.
I keep the vintage milk cans and wire milk crates out year round. So all I did was add the items I had envisioned.
Then some spring daffodils, pussy willows and a couple of vintage galvanized buckets.

Country Farmhouse Vintage Styled Mantel for February
Hi friends,
This year I brought out some of my projects from the past and some vintage pieces I have collected over the years. As you can see I am still liking how the black and white fabric adds a little bit of farmhouse feel. A thrifted milk glass, a couple of diy sign projects, fabric hearts, red bird, paper heart touches and dried roses.
In this area of my mantel I added a few vintage bottles a couple of diy heart projects from a couple of years ago, heart shape tea cake mold and a tea stained red strip fabric garland to compliment the black and white check homespun. the little girl is a vintage valentine print. I just love using vintage prints through out my home décor.
The heart box I thrifted last February and upcycled with a vintage look. The "Follow Your Heart" sign is also a diy I made to look farmhouse. The silver plate candle stick is another thrift find.
I hope you enjoyed how I styled my mantel this year. My husband gets me roses for my February birthday along with Valentines Day, of course I dry them, so I have quite a few bundles of roses to add to my décor this year.
Thank you for stopping by My Little Colorado Cottage to see how I'm styling my mantel for February.

Thrifting for Treasures
Years ago I decorated with copper items but they were super expensive. Lately I have seen copper items showing up in the farmhouse décor, so I picked up these copper jello mold for $2.00 each.
I figure I can never have enough paper heart dollies for $0.30 around, with kids in the house.
I don't think this valentine package is vintage, however when do you ever see Woody the Woodpecker item? So I had to pick this item up for $2.00.
A metal box either a cash box or a fishing box, but how cool! I paid $5.00. Not sure how I will be displaying these items, but will keep you informed.
Thank you so much for taking your time to stop by and see what I have been up to.
Until next time, God Bless You,

Rustic Winter Décor - Transition from Christmas to Winter in the Den
Hi Friends,
Setting up my fireplace mantel first, get the creative juice's flowing for me. This year I thought about bring out more of the red black buffalos checks and woodsy feel for the foundation of my winter décor. In past years I've done red birds, snowmen, or icy, snowy winter with snowflakes.
In the center of the mantel I added this Baby it's Cold Outside, sign I crafted last winter, along with a few of my vintage canning jars.
A thrifted cardinal plate from last winter, and of course the black/white and red/black checked ribbon and pine garland that I love to add to the mantel.
On one of the shelves in the den is a vintage blue lunch box to display my collection of glass door knobs, greenery a few pine cones and red berries.
On top of the Pepsi crate I placed a vintage white mug with a little greenery and red berries and an chrome plate pocket warmer with a red bag that I found in the trunk.
Over in a corner of the den, I placed wool blankets in the wooden "Black Label" box on top of the trunk,
I also pulled out some of the games we play with the kids for time to time, some of the cold days in winter.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed seeing how I decorated my mantel for the winter months.
Until the next time God Bless You,
Vicki a Colorado Junkett.
