Twelve of My Favorite Vintage Vignettes of 2022

 Hi Friends,

Today I just wanted to 'High Lite' some of my awesome, vignettes using amazing thrifted finds from my list in 2022.

I found so many wonderful vintage items this year, it's really hard to pick my favorite treasure.

Amber glass pieces is one of the items I look for, most pieces are easy to find and reasonably priced I pay between $1.00 - $5.00

This particular Aunt Jemma Bottle was $20.00!

I never run across vintage Valentine Cards,
so every year I try and make my own Valentine Cards from vintage clip art.

This year, I was very fortunate to find a few ACTUAL Vintage Valentine Cards!

Vintage Finds

I really like this vignette, I like the mixture of the natural basket and carved horse and the metals, tin scale and pewter mugs along with the soft texture of my homemade felt shamrocks.

*****

I love the contrast of Copper, Black Enamel and White in this vignette.

When I picked-up these enamel doorknobs a year ago, the price was $1.00-$2.00, now the price tag is $10.00 and up!  Truthfully I past by Copper because of the priced, These brushed copper pieces were $5.00 and under.

Last, Spring I got in the creative mood and hand embellished a few $1.00 birdhouses to use as décor around my home.

I really love how, every thing came together on my mantel.

I leave my Patriotic shelf as is, I will add seasonal touches here and there.

I really like finding vintage enamel, I have a few wash basins in different sizes and blue glass and will add patriotic pieces when I come across them

Here is another glance at my mantel for Summer, Love how the display turned out.

I have always like pewter & silver-plate pieces like I have mentioned several times in this post (lol), when the price is right I snag them up.

I loved using the thrifted vintage clip boards this year in a few of my seasonal displays.

Again, I think I like the hint of rustic touches with all the colors I use in my home décor.

Red, White, and Blue

This vignette is another favorite of mine, because of rustic look, of the  metal, wood, and glass, seem to work together, in my mind.

I feel it has a little whimsy with the pop of yellow sunflower..

I'm very pleased with this vignette
I was so excited to find this set of suit cases for $25.00.
It's taken a while, but I have found a place to use these amazing suitcases on a piano bench in a spare room.
I love how all the pieces fell into place, for this Christmas vignette.

This vignette on top of my Hutch, is so fun!

I love how the handmade scarecrow project turned out so great!

The pheasant panel was such a super cool addition to this vignette, also, loved using all the dried florals.

All of the colors in this vignette screamed Autumn!, I think.

I really enjoyed putting together the mantel vignettes for November.

I just loved how the pewter platter looked on the vintage window frame. I have been trying to add fullness to my vignettes this year, no bare spots.

This vignette brings Joy and Thankfulness  to me.

Sunday Vintage Thrifting- Looking for Holiday Decor

 Hi Friends,

Stopped by the my local vintage/thrift store to look for any Holiday décor. I was very excited to find a few Holiday pieces at a reasonable price. Let's get to the haul!

*****
First - I have been slowly picking up cutting boards with intention of replacing the paper plate, I'm currently using for snacks or appetizers. I picked up this board for $2.00 cutting board

*****
Second - I saw this super cute cloth apple for $1.00 to put on the shelf in my computer nook, I think I might need to add another shelf lol.

*****

Then this super cute sturdy green box with a horse on the lid, for $1.50 to keep trinkets or the costume jewelry... that I have been picking up! lately :)

*****
I found a different style flashlight, as you can see I've started a new collection of vintage flashlights, this 1965 Ray-O-Vac Sportsman flashlight was $1.00, looks great with other three flashlights

*****
Like I said I was looking for Holiday décor

For $2.00 I brought home a super cute wooden carved turkey sitting on a cast iron candle holder I believe, the turkey looks like it is carved from a knot in the wood very clever.

*****

When I saw this creamer with scallop edges, I thought I had another creamer that was in this style, how ever you can see it wasn't quite the same pattern I paid $1.00 for this creamer.

*****

Look at this little toothpick holder $.50 the pink flower was chipped. I wonder if maybe this cute footed piece is a bud vase or hat pin holder instead?

*****
Got off track again... I'm still looking for Holiday décor

Then I spotted this ceramic pheasant of course on the top of a very tall shelf that no way I could reach, I asked the price of the pheasant and the clerk had to get a ladder $15.00 was the price!
*****
(I really try to keep my spending $5.00 or under)
*****
but, out of curtesy for the clerk having to climb a ladder, I paid the $15.00 for the ceramic pheasant.

Super cool looking for my November décor!

*****
Of course I was going to pick-up the pheasant feather when I spied them for $3.00 for a bundle of 3 picks.

I'll be adding the feathers to a few of the dried flower arrangements,

*****

I thought the cute red metal lunch box for $5.00, will look great in my Christmas décor, which I'll be bringing Christmas out after Thanksgiving weekend

*****

Also, I hope you notice the yellow/orange table runner $8.00, (I know I went over my $5.00 limit). But it looks great on my vintage record player

*****

My favorite find on this trip was
Vintage Beistle Honeycomb Halloween decorations the pumpkin $1.00

The cute scare crow for $.50, it did have some damage, but WOW!

Wow! What a great haul today! I'm so glad you stopped by.
I hope you enjoyed seeing how I incorporated my new founds treasures into my home

I hope you enjoy seeing what I found today at my local vintage/thrift store and where I place some of the treasures in my home for the Holidays.
