I Found Some Great Vintage Treasures -On a Whim, I Stopped by my Local Thrift Store

Hi Friends,
 I'm so glad your here!

Last week, I stopped by the local thrift store and notice a bunch of candles, not sure why I didn't bring some home that day??

So..... I thought I would stop by and check out the candle bin this week. Great prices

To my surprise, I brought home 51 new candles for a total of $10.50 Two boxes were long tapered 'Party Lite' candles.
***
While I'm here I'll checked the pattens cabinet hadn't in a while, found a few cool patterns for $.10 each.
check out the patterns I found for a patriotic vignette in my sewing corner next year.

Cute 'Raggedy Andy and Raggedy Ann' pattern and a 'Holly Hobby'
I'm not much of a knitter, but thought the pattern for 'Barbie' was neat along with the vintage pillow cover pattern. I'm thinking of framing the pattern covers.

As you know I have a couple of Aunt Martha's patterns, so found one to add to my collection.
***

The prices on the S&P's was Great! at $1.50.
I thought my newly shakers would look nice displayed on a shelf in the China Hutch with another set of silver-plate shakers.
***
The brass planter was $2.00
I think the brass bowl filled vintage dominos looks green with my emerald color vase collection.
***
The vintage canning jars were another great find at $1.00 each, and will go into my collection of vintage canning jars.

I have a wire basket on top of my hutch to display my new vintage canning jars, I filled them with pip berries.
***
This vintage oil lamp was my favorite for $3.50, it was paired with a chimney for $5.00, that didn't fit right, so I left it behind.

The burner on this lamp looks new, however
I read some where how to check for vintage clear glass piece by using a black light, I guess the glued seal will shine? This lamp did not glow. I believe I can order a chimney through 'B&P Lamp Supply', Then I'll find a place for this nice oil lamp.

Another sale,

I found two vintage books for $.25 each and a planter for $2.00, I'm always gifting plant starts, so it's nice to have extra small planters.

The 1st unique book,
is a book by Art Linkletter - Kids Say the Darndest Things!

I believe I was in middle school, when this TV show  aired on Saturday nights in 1967, I think.

The second vintage book,
I'm sure you all have seen the Movie 'True Grit' ? that came out in 1969 with John Wayne and Glen Campbell,

I've added the amazing novel in a old west vignette, I have on the shelf in a spare room.
***
The last sale I stopped by had quite a few boxes of pint jelly jars for $2.00 a box. I just couldn't leave those jars behind at that price.
