Vintage Christmas Vignettes

 Hi Friends,

Thank you for stopping by 'My Little Colorado Cottage' to see what is going on!

Today I'm adding a little bit of berries, greenery and a few seasonal items to the vintage cigar box shelves.

I hope to give you some ideas, how you can have collections and still be able to add seasonal touches with out a lot of fuss.

*****

This cute decoration, my sweet friend gifted to me last Christmas season the ornament has lights inside.

on the same shelf I added a few mercury glass stems to the green mug surrounded by a few heart rocks, then I just added green glass ornaments to top off the 'Sir-Walter Raleigh' tobacco can

at the end of the shelf I keep a few of my small vintage glass bottles and just add sprigs of greenery and pip-berries and holly pick

I've showed this cute vintage Santa earlier I thrifted a couple of small bottle brush wreath and hooked one of them on the Santa's arm still looking for a small cloth bag to put in his other hand, the little ceramic Bull Dog is a craft from the kids

I was so excited when I saw these cute figures that I thrifted last year, the Mrs. Claus is marked Japan. I believe I also thrifted the silver-plate tray last year

I keep a few of my Rooster and Hen collections out year round, when I found a place for my collections that warms my heart,

I try to decorate in and around the grouping of my vintage collections that I love.

I really like how the vignettes turned out this season, I'm really liking the added greens and a little sparkle from the berries and glass bulbs.

Thank you so much to everyone that follows my vintage thrifting journey, I appreciate you all and wish You and Your Family a Merry Christmas!

May God Bless, I'm Vicki a Colorado Junkett

  1. I enjoyed seeing your treasures.During this week's trip to GW (I hadn't been for ages), I got several "grab bags" of ornaments for $2 each. Some newer, some vintage, some snowmen with broken noses--fixed with a bit of patience! Also got 2 snowman and 2 Christmas tree placemats to use for the fronts of "lumbar pillows" for NEXT Christmas! They go well at our church fair and my booth. Finishing up Christmas crafting; I promised our pastor's wife some red earrings, red being her favorite color. I also glued earring post backs onto those little foil packages with silver or gold string bows and made 18 pairs of "gifts" very quickly! I got 2 boxes of 6.99 garland made of these packages for $2 and have 1 1/2 boxes left. But they are just the right size for dollhouse people--my ORIGINAL reason for getting them! Merry Christmas!

  2. Wow! your a busy Lady participating in craft fairs and having a booth this time of year. Do you also participate with craft fairs year round?
What a great idea for using place mats as pillow covers. Your earing ring idea sounds great! and what a great bargain, thrifting the garland with the packages. Thank you so much for checking back, I do appreciate your comment and what your are crafting. Merry Christmas to you!
