Look at What I Found at the Thrift Store!

This is an interesting piece, I paid $1.25 and I think it is from a lighten rod or maybe from a rot iron fence, not sure.

This wonder basket I paid $4 and I think I'll use it as a tray on my deck.

A dark blue and white checked napkin for $.75.

Two sizes of bamboo paper plate holders for a $1.00 each

A blue pillow case for $ .10

June garden update

The temperature has been in the 90's!

The flower beds are thriving here and there.  The first Orange Poppy in bloom!

The Iris are looking good!

Lambs Ear are enjoying the sun.

This flower bed is looking good.  Lamb Ear, White Iris, Red Dianthus, and Purple Salvia Nemorosa in the back the Lilacs are done in this bed.

This Salvia Nemorosa is laying on the ground.

The LILACS are fading.

90* is so hot for new seedlings in my neck of the country.

I've planted lettuce, kale, broccoli, spinach, onions, carrots and as you can see a zucchini plant in the front left hand side of my garden box seems to be doing well.  I ordered a cover for cooler weather, but I decided to use it as a cover to shade the seedlings.

Hope you all are having better luck with your gardens.
Have a wonderful Day!

Farmhouse Touch to the Front Porch for Spring

Hi Friends, s
o glad you stopped by.

Today I'm adding a little spring to my front porch area. The temperature is still to cold at night to be putting out plants.

I ran across this bottle caddy in my basement, that I found thrifting many years ago. From my local Dollar Tree store I purchase floral foam a few clusters of daffodils and raffia.

Very simple DIY.  I just layered the floral foam in the bottom of the caddy then added the raffia.

arranged the daffodils and a little reindeer moss to try and cover the floral foam a bit.

In one of my vintage milk cans I planted a few daffodils, in the milk crate I added the daffodil caddy, but it wasn't working for me I didn't like the white color of the caddy so I just arranged the daffodils in the milk crate.

I like this arrangement better for now.

Thank you so much for stopping by and You all have a great Day!
