Hi Friends,

I'm so glad your here! The yard sale were sparse today.
But, I did find a couple of treasures to add to my many vintage collections!

so, here we go!
First,
I spied this packet of individual 'create a craft' all the pieces were cut out and in little baggies. All you had to do is glue together.

This will be a great project for the grand kids when they visit.
***
 Second,
was these adorable crochet pot holder. I'll be placing them into my seasonal decor.

While digging through boxes I found my......

Third treasure,
a nice pair of darning scissors.
***

I do not know about you, BUT....
I always find some kind of treasure when I'm thrifting.
***

Fourth treasure,
Is a adorable light blue vintage powder box, maybe from the 40's?

It really doesn't go with what I have
who knows, maybe I can find some more pieces of this vanity set.
***

I also found this amazing aged vintage book, love the worn red color!
and will look great as a riser for my decor.
***

Fifth treasure,
to be found were these cute metal Santa coasters and a set of 6 crochet Red coasters

and the cute "Christmas in Love" tin with a pair of cute Bunnies

*****

These items are not vintage but, you can never have to much Red, White, and Blue decorations! Am I right??

a dozen small cloth American flags, starry wired ribbon, sparkly Red, White, and blue garland and a roll craft mesh .
I'll put this bundle of patriotic away for next year.

Fire-King-Milk Glass! Weekend Yard Sales

Hi Friends,
 I'm so glad your here!

As you know I have been collecting Milk-Glass, today, I'm so excited to share what I brought home from two yard sales I stopped by, this weekend.
***
As you know I have been collecting Milk-Glass for a couple of years, well.......
First,
was this very cute covered Fire-King refrigerator dish ($.25)

and a couple of Fire-King custard cups for $.05

Next,
I saw a stack of small dishes. I guessing their used for sauce or fruit. I'll be using the dishes for display,

I paid $1.00 for this amazing vintage Taylor Smith & Taylor small bread/dessert plate, Pastoral pattern.

Farmer plowing with two horses, green, embossed white edge.

So pretty, I'll be on the look for more of these plates.

I think the red trimmed bowl will look nice in a Christmas setting. ($.05) it is stamped Syracuse China

The Second Yard Sale.......
I found a few fun treasures

For $5.00 I brought home -

The stuffed parrots hanger isn't my thing, but I thought I might try and change the parrots into crows, what do you think.
Maybe use black glitter or feathers? I'll let you know how this project turns out.
***

Who doesn't love Snoopy? The coffee cup is super large, will probably use it as a decor piece maybe a gift not sure.
***

Isn't this fabric covered trinket box adorable? I'll be using it for storage.

***

I picked up this red and black nut dispenser thought it would look great with maybe little pumpkin potpourri for Fall.
***

I think this aluminum coffee peculator will look great with my other tea-pot planters out on the deck for next Summer
***

This bag of water spigots valve handles is one of my favorite finds today!

Here I have the handles displayed in the seed box.
***

Milk Glass and Vintage Oil Lamps Weekend Yard Sale Haul

Hi Friends,
 I'm so glad your here!

Today, I'm so excited to share this weekend yard sale.
haul.
There was so many great vintage pieces, however nothing was priced, so I was hesitating what to pick up.

This person was a crafter, lots of fabric in vintage suit cases, I know I don't need fabric! so, I left it for someone else, I do regret leaving the suit cases though.
***
I walked around several time being careful to only pick up items that I loved, because I wasn't sure how the items were priced.
I paid $5.00 for the 4 pieces
***
the two nice pieces of milk glass to add to my growing collection.

I also added the light blue enamel cup to the outdoor enamel collection here on the red cocktail cart.

I was super excited to find this beautiful vintage  lavender blown glass oil lamp. It looks great on the vanity
***
then, the seller asked if I would be interested in a few more oil lamp and of course I said yes!
I've place these three lamps on a book shelf in the Family/Den until I receive the chimney's on order.

These lamps were so dirty two of them had old kerosene oil dried in the bottom, after wiping the glass lamps with a rag dipped in acetone and then in soapy dawn dish soap they came out nice and clean
$2.00 for 5 glass oil lamps.
I believe these two have found a home for now.

the red white labels will be used as labels $.50 or crafting

The silver plate has been pretty high this summer at the thrift store
I saw these pieces were $3.00 each I grab them up.

I have a few other pieces of silver-plate... I'm thinking about using for Halloween vignette.

I was excited to find one of these canning baskets ($1.50) to use to display a few of my vintage "Ball' canning jars. I think the basket raises this vignette a notch up, what do you think?
