Spring/Easter Vintage-Inspired Vignettes on the Entry-room Hutch

Hi Friends,

I'm so glad your here!

Today, I'm so excited to share a few vignettes on the Entry-Room Hutch.
I started with placing the yellow faux-florals and pip berries, I have gathered over the years.

This first vignette I'm sharing has one of my newly vintage post-cards
finds

post-marked April 9, 1914 with a 1- cent stamp. Detroit To: Grambroch  Ontario, Canada, From: Billie.  So beautiful.

Cute thrifted Chenille yellow chick sits in a nest of shredded newspaper, (saw this idea on You-Tube.)

The second shelf I have displayed the thrifted Log Cabin souvenir plate from the Ozark's.

I'm using the "Little Chenille Chick" I thrifted a few weeks ago, and sprinkle them through-out my Spring-Easter décor.

Next, I found the berry baskets, I thrifted a couple of Springs ago.

Next, I've placed painted plastic eggs in a variety of sizes, in vases and jars

another one of the super cool thrifted post-cards, it didn't have a post-mark, but it was from: Orval to: grandpa

This is another New vintage Easter Post-Card, I purchased at a On-line Auction last week, so cute with two bunnies holding a giant Easter Egg with a cute yellow Chick standing on top of the egg.

I also decided to use the faux Daffodil bulbs I hand-made last Spring

Lastly, in this vignette I used a thrifted frame fruit bowl photo I found last Spring from my local Vintage/Thrift Store.

In a thrifted vase I added a few more hand-painted plastic eggs a couple of sprigs of pip-berries.

A pair of super adorable bunnies I thrifted from my local Budget Thrift Store several years back. The vintage post-card is another card in the bundle I purchased at a on-line auction.

Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to stop by to see some of my Spring vignettes using some of my treasures I have found out thrifting.

I would love to hear what you have found thrifting and how you style it in your home.

 So until my next post......

Hi Friends,

 I'm so glad your here!

Today, I'm so excited to share my mantel for Spring!
***
It is the 'First Day of Spring' as I'm looking out my window, it is snowing!

To get some inspiration I dug out my Spring tub and pulled out the nest that I handcrafted a few Springs ago.

This cute bird book I bought a week ago on a online auction.

This cute little bird house was a yard sale treasure quite a few years ago and has gone through a couple of make-overs, I'm loving how it looks a little rustic.

*****
I added a new prints from 'The Graphic Fairy.com' web sight this beautiful lily print.

The amazing "The Pond Book" was another book I won at the online auction with "Sugar Britches Sweet Ass Stuff" You-tube auction every Wednesday and very reasonable prices.

In this cream color German planter, I thrifted last year I filled with the handmade 'Spring Bulbs' I made last Spring

Shopping for Vintage Treasures for my Home

Hi Friends,

I'm so glad your here!

Today, I'm so excited to share a thrift haul from my local Vintage/Thrift store. I totally love every treasure I brought home today.

I passed on these treasures up last time. I thought these beautiful patterned plates, would look nice for Easter or Mother's Day. I paid $2.00 each.

This beautiful embossed plate with a light pink rose transfer had no stamp but I believe it might be made in Germany.

This super cute saucer with the gold trim and flower did not have a stamp on the back, I thought it would be nice to use this saucer in a Saint Patrick's Day or Fall vignette.

*****
Last visit to this Vintage/Thrift store I notice these two Flatware boxes the dark color one was $12.00 and the lighter brown didn't have a price.  I past on them thinking if these boxes are still in the store I'll buy them

The light brown box had red lining and a sticker 'Good Housekeeping Institute'.

The darker wood box had a light blue lining and a W.m. Roger sticker.

I saw on Pinterest how to use these boxes to corral décor vignettes, but for now I'm using them as risers on the hutch.

*****

I saw this cute milk glass pieces also last time I was at this store but wasn't sure I wanted to pay $15.00 for it but because of the uniqueness I did bring it home this time. I paid the asking price (I'm not much of a haggler).

Searching the 'WEB' to get some information about this interesting treasure, I found out it is called Mortar & Pestle and held potpourri made produced in New York by Jean Vivaudou Co. Akro Agate in 1930's. Unfortunately, I did pay high for this piece because it is missing a decal and painted florals.
*****
I picked up these last two plate because, they were very pretty and I think they'll look great in a vignette for March.

Noon at the Dontinee Marshes
Night at the Dontinee Marshes

Beautiful décor plated made in Germany for $2.00 each

New Vintage Dolls For My Collection

Hi Friends,

 I'm so glad your here!

Today, I'm so excited to share a few new dolls I've added to my doll collection.

small 1940's bisque dolls

I caught the E-Bay Auction Bug last week.

I was on a mission to find "Story Book 'Nancy Ann' Dolls"!

Of course, I want to spent the least amount of money possible. These dolls I paid $3.00 a pieces, because I bought them in a lot of 30 vintage dolls, I have quite a few extra dolls. :)

I'll be showing off some more of the vintage dolls in future post as I find a place to display them.

Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to stop by to see what treasures I have found this week.

I would love to hear about some of your collections and how you style them in your home.
