Vintage Clipboard -- Diy Print Project for Easter Décor

 Hi Friends,

A month ago I had found two vintage clipboard. scouring Pinterest and you-tube I've seen a lot of clip boards being use in décor.

Today, I'm crafting a very simple project to add a little whimsical to my fireplace mantel for Easter/Spring, using thrifted vintage clip boards

I printed a couple pages of Spring/Easter clip art from "Graphic Fairy" and

"Follow the yellow brick house"

From Follow the yellow brick house https://followtheyellowbrickhome.com/dreaming-of-daffodils-early-spring-decorating-ideas/
and from Graphic Fairy https://thegraphicsfairy.com/free-clip-art-easter-chicks/

I always have construction paper around I thought yellow wood be a nice background color I also decided to use these glue dots to attach the Spring print to the construction paper backing

I have a set of paper fancy edging scissors to trim around the edge of clip art

glued it to the construction paper with the glue dots

distress ink

great project I hope you try it

Vintage Wooden Ironing Board

 Hi Friends,

I stopped by my local thrift store today after work. I was looking for vintage Easter, but didn't find any thing, however I did bring home a treasure that I have had my eye on for sometime.

How I display a thrifted vintage wooden ironing board

This vintage wooden ironing board has been at my local thrift store for practically three months. Is in great shape and has a new cover and pad it had a price of $15.00. I thought that price was a little high so I have been checking prices on the internet and decided that $15.00 wasn't a bad price.  As you can see it came home with me.

I am thinking about incorporating the wooden vintage ironing board in my tiny laundry area. But I'm  also thinking about using it for a plant stand in the living room, not sure.  That post will be later I think....??

Thank again you for stopping by, I would love to stay in touch.  So be sure to scribe.

Country Rustic Bunnies and Chicks

Hi Friends,

Easter is next weekend, so I'm changing up the spring décor a little, by placing a few bunnies and chicks and eggs baskets around the house.

The fabric bunnies I have had since my daughters were little. and just  put them out in my Easter décor every year.  A couple of years ago I changed up the floral bunny by soaking the bunny in coffee , Thought was to age the bunny a bit to look more rustic. I'm not sure if I pulled it off , but it's still cute.

When I'm out thrifting I always look through the children books. You just never know what you might find.  Children books are on my list of things to look for.

I hope to inspire you to get out and thrift, you never know what treasures you will find.

Thrifting for Vintage - Decorate with me

 Hi Friends,

This last weekend I went thrifting. I have found some more treasure at my favorite vintage/thrift store town. I can't wait to incorporate some of these treasures into my home.

Come decorate with me.............

I picked up this vintage converted oil lamp for $7.50, it needed a lot of tender loving care.  The cord was in bad shape, so I replace the cord and socket. I did purchase a chimney, when I was in Illinois

So I'm using the chimney for now, but I have ordered a replacement chimney and galley to hold the chimney in place.  I placed the lamp on a stool in the living room.

This cute "HULL", planter I picked up for $4.00.  I filled it with vintage children blocks I thrifted from my local Budget Center thrift, and set the planter

on top of the dresser in a spare room that has great afternoon sun for a few of my house plants.

The rusted Budweiser aluminum can I add with my small barware collection in the den, I paid $1.00.

I've been collecting Budweiser Christmas mug off and on when I find them at a reasonable price.

Come warmer weather I'll be using this faucet that I purchased for $4.00, in one of my outdoor pots. I saw "Nicole Northgarden Thrifter" a  You-Tuber, last summer make a wash tub with broken plate and used a faucet like this. I think it will be very rustic farmhouse touch to my yard this coming summer.

A cute tobacco tin I found for $3.00 at my local vintage/thrift store

Advertising for Maryland Club Mixture Virginia manufacture by American Tobacco Company.
This is going to look nice with some of my other tobacco boxes.

This white platter was a great find at $.50, it has a mark on the bottom U.S.A..

I sat it behind the newly purchased tin and a Sir Walter Raleigh smoking tobacco tin I've had in my collection for some time. Of course a few flower stems to add a Spring vibe

These super cute copper plate rooster napkin rings I paid 3 for $1.00.  I know, I know, who buys only three? You may ask?  I'm using them around the neck of the bottles.  Tell me what you think.

I put the napkins ring on my green bottles neck

This green vase I found for $1.00, seems to have been painted over and I just wonder if I should strip it  or leave it as is ????
The chicks and bunny are starting to peek there heads out.

I incorporated the spring green vase on top of the hutch to add color into my Spring décor in my living room.  Notice the uneven paint at the bottom?

Look at this wonderful orange plant pot for only $2.00.  It does have a mark on the bottom of the pot  "U.S.A. 4." Not sure what that means but, I love vintage pots like this for plant cuttings from my house plants.

This past week a co-worker gifted me the Jade plant starts from her mother plant.  I was so excited about this I have the perfect pot for the gifted Jade starts now.

When I saw these three milk glass vase I had to pick them up. unfortunate they have not a single marking on bottom, so I'm not sure if it is real milk glass. I paid $3.00-$4.00 for each.

I have two other vase I've had for some time and gathered all the milk glass vase to made a Spring grouping on top of my hutch

Another great find was this cute little round, double side mirror with a folding stand. I paid $3.00, for this folding travel mirror, and it had Japan engraved on the metal frame.

Not much marking, but I think this cute milk glass jar was used for cold cream in the past. It is marked H over A logo... "Hazel Atlas Glass Company"?
I'm grouping it on a thrifted silver plate tray with a few other thrifted treasures on the guestroom vanity.

I was so excited to find this large white pitcher, I believe it's ironstone. I have seen many wonderful ironstone collections displays on social media.

The stamp on the bottom is a single winged lion, Made in U.S.A.  123-4. I paid $4.00

I used fingernail polish remover to get the applique off the large pitcher.  I moved the two picnic basket that I found last years at my local thrift store to my living room.  I added a bundle of faux forsythia blooms and tied it with a black/white ribbon. I love this vignette.

This cute little Coca-Cola shot glass, I paid $.50. mark on bottom  is a square maybe Illinois Glass or Imperial Glass? not sure

I found another brass candle stick for $3.00. I wasn't able to find any markings on it, so I do not have any history on it.

I placed these two items into this vignette on top my salt and pepper shaker cabinet.

Last but, not least the 15" tall Masonite clip board marked Stem Co Dallas, I paid $.99.  I'll use it to display a bulb print from a blogger I follow

This was a great haul! I hope that I have encouraged you to get out there and go thrifting, you just never know what you will find to add to your collections, at a reasonable price even in a small town.

Thank you for stopping by.

May God Bless You and Your Family,

Vintage Shopping is What I Love to Do - Last Haul For March

Hi Friends,

After work Friday I stopped by the local thrift store and found a couple of things.

I do have a few family Bibles that have been pasted down to me, and Holy Bibles have not really been my thing to collect, however this Scofield Bible connected with me.

"Heres something to think about, (Sin keeps you from the Bible, but the Bible keeps you from sin. If you were arrested for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?)"

I love picking up silver plate trays, they are so versatile, I paid $

I try to pick up any sheet music I come across, because I can use it for crafting, this sheet music was $1.00.

This mug will look great in my fourth of July décor, I paid $1.50. I'm always looking for Holiday décor.

I love shelves I have a few around the house. I will use shelves until I find that perfect hutch or cabinet to display my treasures.  I paid $2.00 for this cute shelf.

Lastly, a Hersey mug, this is a little outside my vintage boundary.  However, when Christmas comes around next year, I may use this mug for hot chocolate.

Thank you for stopping by, I'm very pleased with what I found.
Until next time....May God Bless You and Your Family,
