Vintage Treasure Hunt at My Local Thrift Store

Hi Friends,

 I'm so glad your here!
Today, I went hunting for vintage treasure hunt to my local budget center.

I'm so excited to share a few vintage items that I found......
I went through the vintage glass and was unable to find anything new.
Next, I dug through the tubs of doilies and discovered this cute yellow trimmed doily.

***
I looked through the photo albums and found four more.
***
Also, found this great Artisan Crafted wooden picture frame. This frame looks like it might have been a burned wood project.

I added a clipping from a vintage song book I have in my craft closet, but I'm not sure if I like this print in the frame, I'll think about it and let you know if I change it out for a different print.
***
I picked a few more sewing items
a small bag of buttons for $.75, a great variety of colors, plus a few metal buttons. I added the buttons to the big jar in my little sewing nook.

two bags of bias tape, I put some of the bias tape in one of my vintage Ball canning jars, along with red, white and blue tape on cards.

Looking through the bin of thread eye-spied a spool of blue embroidery thread, I was thinking to mix in to the Patriotic/Summer Décor', this year.

Lastly,
I found three very cool vintage books...

The 1st book,
was first published in 1939 - 'Mystery at Martha's Vineyard'
more of a Novel
***
The 2nd book,
a 1955 reader digest with a couple of very interesting colored advertisements.
I believe I'll be using this book in a July vignette,
I think it will look great.

***

The 3rd book,
is a 1944 "Sunset's Kitchen Cabinet Recipes" book, volume three

the graphic's in this book are so fun!

***
That is my thrifted vintage haul this week, I hope I inspired you to get out and thrift.

I think I found some super awesome treasure that I'll be able to incorporate into my décor this Summer.

Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to stop by to see what treasures I have found out thrifting this week.

I would love to hear what you have found thrifting and how you style it in your home.

 So until my next post......

Decorate with me - Fall Farmhouse/ Vintage Mantel - Using Thrifted Items

 Hi Friends,

Today, I'm easing my mantel into fall.  Using some farmhouse/vintage décor that I have thrifted, the last few months.

I love my black and white gingham garland that stays on the mantel year round. To ease into  fall on my mantel I placed a thrifted copper tin, some books, amber bottle, a crow I've have for many years

A thrifted crock I left the sunflowers found this summer and added pip berries a diy ceramic pumpkins

amber bottles with sunflowers, I left the moss, added a faux pumpkin to the vintage cigar tin

To the left side of the mantel I added a little orange ceramic pumpkin that I gave a face lift to and a copper accent pumpkin I picked up a couple of years ago a thrifted crock with sunflowers and a black crow.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  So until the next time....

May God Bless You and Your Family.

Thrifting out of Town for Farmhouse Decor

Hi Friends,

Thank you for stopping by My Little Colorado Cottage to see what I have been doing
Well, I went to visit my Mom this weekend and had the opportunity to go thrifting at a thrift store "Deseret Industries" and found some wonderful things. The thrift store had a amazing children's book collection so of course I had to pick them up.

$2.00 for this vintage looking Christmas album

each of these books were a $.85 except for the Nancy Drew I paid $4.00

I just love the graphics of the older books

I found a rolling pin for $3.50 to add to my kitchen décor

I always pick up older canning jar. This vintage jar I believe is a pint jar for $1.00, didn't have a lid, but I keep looking never know what you find out thrifting.

I try to pick up use baseball when ever I see them for my summer décor

Now I have two whole nut trays I need to start looking for utensils

I had a wonderful time thrifting out of town and I feel I found some great finds.  I'm so thrilled to find the children's books.  What was your find?

So until next time,

May God Bless you and your family.
