1st Thrift Haul of 2020!

So So excited with the things I found today!

I'm hoping to use this Pepsi bottle crate to house some of the little hens

This bean pot  came with out lid, but had a USA mark on the bottom, so I had to bring it home with me.

I'm kinda a sucker for retro kitchen items as you will see. When I saw the label I knew I  should bring had another piece home.  I'm hoping I will be able to take the white enamel paint off... huh, will see.

Back in the late 60's, my Aunt gave us kids a set of these Disney books. I have one I have kept over the years and was super excited to find two for $3.50 each, and their in good shape.

This is what I was saying about reto kitchen items.

another exciting item were these kids blocks

This soap tray isn't that old but I just liked it to use as a jewelry or earring tray for my dresser.

Thank you for stopping by, I can't wait to clean these wonderful finds and put the into my decor.

Until next time.  Vicki

Every DIY'er on You-Tube is making wooden bead ropes to add to the farmhouse decor

when I found the bags of beads,  I was so excited that now I could make a wooden bead rope for myself.
2 bags of pink wooden beads, for $5.00.

Natural wooden beads, I believe they might have been used making macro may plant hangers, back in the 70's?  For $5.00
I paid a total of  $10.00 for all the beads

Little houses that spell out WELCOME, I love them! What a find, I will probably paint the houses with white chalk paint and display individually in my vignettes.

DIY Christmas fabric trees project

A trio of fabric trees

This idea came from Katelyn, her you-tube channel is  Krafts by Katelyn , she comes up with some very awesome seasonal home decor craft ideas.

This was a quick diy to add to my Farmhouse Christmas Decor.

I traced out a tree design from printer paper, then I traced the tree shape onto form board and used a ex-zato knife to cut of the tree shape.

Then laid the form board tree shape on the fabric and cut out the shape with scissors

I use Aleene's tacky glue to attach the fabric to the form board.

I felt the tree needed some embellishments

Using twine, old buttons, and a metal star, from the craft store I went to work.

Some I did leave bare

I believe this project turned out GREAT!

Until the next project take care and thanks for stopping by.

DIY Wreath with a Little Red Truck

Using items I all ready had in my stash of craft stuff

This project started with this box I purchased at Dollar Tree I believe a couple of years ago.

I always has wreath forms of some kind, so I used this grapevine wreath form added some pieces from and old garland I had.  Last year in January I purchase two yards of the red striped fabric and red and black checked fabric.  The black and white checked ribbon I purchase from Walmart I believe.

I brushed most of the red glitter off of the truck, then using Apple Barrel gloss red paint and cover the glitter on the truck.

I used one of the little trees to put in the back of truck.

I'm really proud how this project turned out. Let me know what you think.

Thank you for stopping by, until the next time. Vicki

DIY Christmas Project - Paper Tree Garland

Hi Friends,

Today I'm making cut out book page paper trees.  I have seen this  very simple project all over social media, so thought I would give it a try.

So... this is my version of paper tree cut outs garland.

Old book with small print, a cookie cutter in a tree shape, and a pair of scissors,

some twine and glue.

Finished product, I added this string of cut out paper trees to my winter pine garland around the book shelf in the den and I added a string of fabric trees around the top of the hutch.

This was a super easy project that I thought you might want to try.

Thank you for stopping by for another diy project.

I started with this cute sign from Dollar General

I used black chalk paint around the edges drew out lines for planking and and mixed black and white chalk paint to make some age lines and wear.

I believe it is a nice touch to my Farmhouse Christmas décor.   thanks for stopping by.

Have a wonderful day, Vicki
