Vintage/Farmhouse Fall Mantel

Hi friends,

Today I'm sharing my Fall mantel.  I have added a little vintage, some thrifted items and a few diy projects I crafted last year and some craft project I had time to do this year.

My focus this Fall was darker oranges and reds and browns so I brought a ceramic pumpkin from Dollar Tree that I painted a color I liked better. Some vintage canning jars a black rooster that is part of my vintage collection.  This year I added two trivets that I thrifted this year, painted with white chalk paint and put a little distress to the metal.  The fall leave garland,

mums from Dollar Tree a few years ago. The wire pumpkin are thrifted this year, the buffalo pumpkin are a diy last year.

Last year Dollar Tree diy jar sign, a thrifted wire pumpkin, a remade thrifted trivet and vintage black rooster, Dollar Tree fall leaf garland and floral picks

something new to my fall décor is this Thankful sign I purchase  at Walmart I believe. I added to the fall leaf garland a few more strands of fall leaves from Dollar Tree. A messy bow to the top of my rustic window, from raffia, fall leave sprigs and a buffalo check ribbon. And a few pip berries here and there.

added a little Spanish moss and a black checked ribbon to a amber jar, another vintage rooster a few bitter sweet sprigs, pheasant feathers.

Thank you for checking in to see what project I'm working on this week.  Until the next creative moment.

My God Bless you and your family,

Finding Vintage Treasures From a Little Antique Mall

Hi Friends,
Went shopping this weekend at a little antique mall and was super excited to find a pair of 1950's Royal Copley Hen/Rooster, I didn't see any chips for $14.00 for pair.

I have had this set of 1950's Royal Copley Hen/Rooster planter set for about ten years. They are pretty beat up, quite a few chips.  I believe I paid $12.00 for the pair.  The rooster lost his beak and a big chip on the base.

This was another item I found out the little antique mall, it didn't come with a spoon, but I think it is used for sugar or honey maybe?

I don't think it is vintage, but I bought it because it was a chicken and had this very cute baby chick on her back, backwards!!

Thanks for stopping by, If you have a idea what this cute chicken container might be used for let me know.

Thank you for stopping by.

May God Bless you and your family.
Until next time, Vicki a Colorado Junkett

Went Thrifting in July Found Vintage Fabric Napkins

Thrifting is one of my favorite things to do.
This is the last week of July and I want to show you, my great finds this month.

This Mount Rushmore tray was a interesting find.  I'm hoping to incorporate it into my patriotic decor.

Here are four cloth napkins with an interesting design that I'll be putting a side for next spring

Red checked napkins for summer

I could not past this item up.  Who knew? A red pillow case with Embroidered pink hearts.  I will be putting this into my Valentines decor tub for next year.

I may restyle this pillow case as a table runner I'll see.

I saw this box last time I went thrifting and didn't pick it up so.... this time I thought I needed it even though I do not need sewing machine attachments  This is a vintage Deluxe Zigzag Attachments Sewing Machine 18 Cam Patterns in a Pink Box.

I'll be using the box for other sewing items

A cute chicken pitcher that I may paint, not sure yet.

I was super surprised to find these items. Which was your favorite?  I think the pitcher is my favorite.

Thank you for stopping by to see what I'm up to. May God bless you and your family.

 Until the next adventure,
Vicki

A Rustic Farmhouse Home Sign Project

A Rustic Farmhouse  Home Sign Project using a few items I picked up at Dollar Tree first of the year.

A HOME plaque that I took the letters apart and painted them with two coats of Waverly white chalk paint.

I then made a little wreath out of a spring of eucalyptus I had in my stash

and glued the wreath to the letter "O"

Then using a LOVE sign also purchased at Dollar Tree

I repainted the sign with Waverly white chalk paint and added some watered down brown acrylic paint  to give the board an weathered look.

Glued the letter on to the repainted sign

What do you think?  This project was semi easy for me and I think it turned out GREAT!

Thank you for checking in for another diy project.
My God Bless your Day!

Until the next Project,
 Vicki

Country Farmhouse Budget Friendly Wreath - DIY

Country Farmhouse Budget Friendly Wreath

Rustic Farmhouse Wreath

Using a sign from Dollar Tree I painted it with Waverly white chalk paint

found this print from hen silhouette cut it out and glue the silhouette to the sign.

I added some doodle around the edge with a black sharpie.

attach the sign to the wreath form from Dollar Tree.

I made up three messy bows with black and white fabric and some rick-rack from my local fabric store, foliage pick, burlap ribbon, jute twine from Dollar Tree, topped the bow with natural raffia strands, also from Dollar Tree.

I started to lay out the bows and foliage to get the right placement

I like how this wreath turned out.
