Went 'Vintage Thrifting' This Weekend, I Found a Really Interesting Treasure

Hi Friends,

 I'm so glad your here!

Today, I'm so excited to share a thrift haul from my Local 'Vintage/Thrift Store'.

Last time I was there, I left behind a set of little Bundt Pans.

I can't pass-up these very adorable jell/custard cups to add to my fast growing collection. LOL!
***

I picked up a very interesting rust-crusty Iron Rest for $2.00!
I used some W-D to see if I could make out the manufacture it has a upside down triangle.

After some research, I'm thinking the iron rest is made by 'American Beauty Iron' company
I'm slowly gathering treasures for a small make-over in my small laundry-room.
***
As you know by now, I normally do not pass up Terra-Cotta Planters

This pot with drain dish was $4.00, I didn't think that was a bad price. I've place the planter out on the front porch area and added Marigold seeds.
I added this planter to my collection on the front porch
***

I also found 2 Pool-Cue Balls for $.50 each. for now I've placed the cue balls in a truck bed, but hoping tp find large jar to put the cue-balls in,(maybe a basket).

***

This was a small haul, however I found some great finds to add to my vintage cottage décor, for under $10.00!

Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to stop by to see what treasures I have found out thrifting this week.

I would love to hear what you have found thrifting and how you style it in your home.

 So until my next post......

Vintage Treasure Hunt at My Local Thrift Store

Hi Friends,

 I'm so glad your here!
Today, I went hunting for vintage treasure hunt to my local budget center.

I'm so excited to share a few vintage items that I found......
I went through the vintage glass and was unable to find anything new.
Next, I dug through the tubs of doilies and discovered this cute yellow trimmed doily.

***
I looked through the photo albums and found four more.
***
Also, found this great Artisan Crafted wooden picture frame. This frame looks like it might have been a burned wood project.

I added a clipping from a vintage song book I have in my craft closet, but I'm not sure if I like this print in the frame, I'll think about it and let you know if I change it out for a different print.
***
I picked a few more sewing items
a small bag of buttons for $.75, a great variety of colors, plus a few metal buttons. I added the buttons to the big jar in my little sewing nook.

two bags of bias tape, I put some of the bias tape in one of my vintage Ball canning jars, along with red, white and blue tape on cards.

Looking through the bin of thread eye-spied a spool of blue embroidery thread, I was thinking to mix in to the Patriotic/Summer Décor', this year.
***

Lastly,
I found three very cool vintage books...

The 1st book,
was first published in 1939 - 'Mystery at Martha's Vineyard'
more of a Novel
***
The 2nd book,
a 1955 reader digest with a couple of very interesting colored advertisements.
I believe I'll be using this book in a July vignette,
I think it will look great.

***

The 3rd book,
is a 1944 "Sunset's Kitchen Cabinet Recipes" book, volume three

the graphic's in this book are so fun!

***
That is my thrifted vintage haul this week, I hope I inspired you to get out and thrift.

I think I found some super awesome treasure that I'll be able to incorporate into my décor this Summer.

Vintage Treasure Hunting at My Local Thrift Store

Hi Friends,

I'm so glad you stopped by!

Today,
I'm so excited to share a shopping haul from my local 'Community Budget Center'.

I was looking through the picture frames and found a pile of vintage scrapbooks, I paid $2.00 a pieces for them. There were also two packs of extra pages for $1.25 each. What a Great! price!

As you know I'm working on getting my family picture printed off my computer to free up some space for my blog picture.

***
I don't normally pick-up clear clear glass, but this little 1930's pressed-cut glass pitcher caught my eye, notice the "Pineapple Fan" design?

I place the cut-glass creamer in the China Hutch

***
I spied a small thermos, it didn't have a price. The clerk didn't charge me for it, so sweet! I stuck the cute little thermos with a few others for Summer Décor.

***
These cool colorful 1960's "Fire-King" bowls I picked-up because of the color to use in my kitchen.

Actually, the Yellow bowl was marked "Anchor Hocking"

Right now I have the bowls on the shelf above the cabinets in the kitchen

***

Then,
I was surprised to find this candy tin for $5.00 the lid does have a dent, but I do like the flower pattern on the side

There is a marking on the bottom- 'Container made in England' 'Art Grace Baret Ware'. I think it would great in a Valentine vignette.

For now I have the cute tin displayed on the vanity in the guest-room.

***
I always take a peek over in the jewelry area, just in case something catches my eye.

Today I spied a necklace with red and silver beads with a tarnished chain. I have a pair of earrings I thrifted that I thought would look nice with this necklace.

***

Lastly,
I found another shelf for $3.50, I'll need to paint it you can't quite tell that this shelf is painted purple. I'm thinking to use it in the computer corner. Check back later to see where I'll be using this shelf.

You may have also saw I found another candy/apothecary jar $2.00, for my daughter.

Thank you so much for taking time out of your day, to see what I've been up to,

I would love to hear what you have found out thrifting this week and how you style it in your home.

 So until my next post......

Spring/ Easter Vignettes on My Vintage Record Player in the Entry room

Hi Friends,

I'm so glad your here!

Today, I'm so excited to share how I have styled a few vignettes on my  Vintage Claro-phonic Cabinet Record Player

The first grouping, I've just used a hand-crocheted doily on top of a checkered place mat a few vintage thread spools, a couple of green pharmacy bottles and a cast-iron candles holder I found thrifting.

*****
This vignette I brought in the cute green garlic jar, I think works well together with the Royal Copley Hen and Rooster.

another wonderful vintage post-card post-marked April 12, 1911 Carleton, Michigan nestled in a cream color 'Hull' planter

*****

Lastly, I grouped another 'Royal Copley rooster another vintage  Easter post-card I used one of my emerald green tea cup and added Easter grass and a few hand-painted eggs a thrifted vase and a S&P hen on a silver-plate platter.

This cute post-card with 'Gold Embossed Chicks' under a flower, has a post-mark of 1912 Detroit, Michigan  has a one cent stamp
